I found out today that my lady can get damaged pellets from her work (Kroger) for $2.50 a bag. Decided to check it out. They are eco-flame pellets and we bought two bags. Of all the bags I saw not one of them was really missing much as far as pellets go and we were able to pick and choose which ones we wanted.

Looking at the back of the bag, they are made by Confluence which is the same company that makes Rocky Mountain pellets! The only difference I really saw on the back of the bag was the Rockies claim less than .05% ash content, while the Eco-Flame claim less than .1%, that's if I read things right. Visually they look the same.... I see a lot of pellets being a service tech so I've kind of gotten an eye for the brands available and can usually guess them by asking the customer if they burn pellet brand "x".

This might be a great gig. They did seem to have a LITTLE bit more fines but not much. I'll probably start hoarding these cheepo-s as even if they aren't great, at that price they will make wonderful shoulder season pellets. I'm going to build one of those fancy fine remover/pvc/vacuum thing-a-ma-jobbers over the summer anyways so it won't matter.

Carry on my fellow pellet heads :D

Good buys, good feelings. If they burn ok, I would get all I could get my hand on. Never pay more than you need to!

My littlest one is 18 now, and I have a 20 and a 25 year old and I can take them for icecream anytime of the year and it's all good! We still all drive out to the icecream stand about 20 miles away in the summer time to get a cone, a tradition we've been doing for 24 years and it never gets old. damm I can't wait.....

I've tried Eco Flame from Confluence Energy. You'll like them @ $2.50/bag.

Nice pick up, last spring I bought 6- 65 bag pallets of LaCretes that had some water damage on the top couple of rows. Hoping to find another deal like that.

Woke up to a half inch of snow. Its only a half inch but after yesterdays temps around 50, it is still aggravating. Tonight's forecast is minus 10 in areas with wind chills of minus 27.

WMUR news opened the morning with the anchor telling the weatherman that if she had projectiles, she would be throwing them at him.... I agree !! :p

Couple new brews to report on here. Blue Point hoplicious. Make Sierra Nevada seem like kool aid. Very hoppy but very good. Dog fish 30 minute IPA. Maybe the best beer I ever tasted. Yum
