Heavy Heavy here I can honestly say probably the quickest 8" I have seen fall in quite a long time, winds a whipping like a mother and thanks to someone reminding about the OAK as it does not take long with these kind of winds and snow to bury your oak don't matter how high it is off the ground the drifts are nuts...
Got that horizontal snow flying around everywhere
Pellet Hound they are talking about snow thunder you seeing any of it down there ?

I used to lean a piece of 1/2" plywood up against the wall that the OAK was on.....just enough to deflect the wind.

Well Heck winds calming down snow is letting up a beautiful thing , would have been nice when I was driving to the gas station went in to get some creme got back out to my truck and the lady was slapping out of order signs on the pumps ! Was good though went into Leominster to find an open station and grabbed 480lbs of sand tubes at HD tossed them into the back of the truck made a world of difference.

Good Idea man except I don't have any plywood do have plenty of lumber though to make my Oak tent . Heck can't believe the storm just shut down don't know if the backside is gonna smack us but hopefully outside of the wind might be it for serious snow. Wondering if I should head out there before the wind starts again and fire up the snowblower.
    thanks

Supposedly waiting at the local PO, but then I get this notice:
"This is a reminder to arrange for redelivery of your item before January 13, 2018 or your item will be returned on January 14, 2018. "
Redelivery?????? when the package goes to my PO box and ALWAYS gets picked up there. USPS is unbelieveable :headbang:

you know, that is the strangest tell of them all so far. I would be tempted to photo copy it and do a mass mailing to whom ever would be impressed by it. Esp. the seller.

well, that's better than UPS......packages that need to be signed for.....if noones home, they tell you there coming the next day....between 8 and 8?! so, take the day off to get it? No, I think not.....I just ask for the USPS....they get it, I stop by and pick it up......

Yup it fired back up but now seems to finally be winding down with the exception of the wind so glad I went out and took care of the brunt of it. IMG_0071.JPG IMG_0064.JPG

They will put it on a truck and maybe get it to you if you bow down and ask nicely (just be sure to get it before it expires end of day on Jan. 13, it will be sent back). At least you got a notice I don't always get a notice.
