Thanks, let me know how it runs on the propane, although there is no large tank in Kittery so it may be a non issue there.

    What model was it again?

I'm sure you can hook into your large tank. As a kid, a neighbor had done that for his gas grill. I dont know what code is for it today though.

Saw the new stoves flame looked a little funny. Went outside and the oak screen was covered in snow This version is like a screen door screen vs there older criss cross pattern. It now has a sufficiently sized hole in it..

Mfr. claims "up to" 5.5 hours on 20 lb tank......probably calculated at 50% load. I was considering getting the same unit, and was going to contact my propane supplier about getting a hookup to the 2 - 120 lb. tanks I have for the heat.

Sorry I'll blame both as I have more than one source still at the USPS, had one at UPS as well but that one now runs one of the big boxes.

^^ That's not bad at all - and with the dual-fuel option, / some gasoline on-hand, you could stretch even further.. Nice.

Pete, picked up a jug of Marine Stabil @ Walmart last week: gonna add to genny fuel tank, already did the (2) cans / 10 gals. sitting in the shed. * Only difference between "Marine" vs. "Regular" Stabil - the Marine version is 2x more concentrated. Running a genny test when we get home, in the snow.. Because it's more fun that way.

Natalie asked me last evening to drive her in today to work w/ the bad weather.. Had to go in, and was hesitant driving solo w/ a "4 day old" vehicle - very adult of her.

The little Subaru of hers is a nice car - very sure-footed on the road. Getting some needed weekly on-site IT work done, b4 the office closes up early today / I pick Natalie up for the return trip home.

    Safe travels today all. :salute:

Just a reminder that I got from reading another thread.....with the wind blowing & the rate the sn*w is coming down, better check that outside OAK.....pretty easy to get a drift or just sn*w plugged. I used to just lean a piece of 1/2" ply over it.

Left work after 6 hours (11:15) to beat the worst of the storm. No issues and most of the other drivers were taking it reasonably slow and leaving plenty of room to the next car. Roads sucked - the last 12 miles hadn't even been touched once. And the snow was falling so heavily that visibility was very low.

Got home and had 5.5-6" of snow. Did some stuff inside and pretty soon it was up to 8" of snow so went out and did a first pass - that lasted nearly 2 hours (more than 1 tank of gas) and included roof raking over the propane tanks (metal roof hasn't dumped for at least 2 weeks). Wind really started blowing at the end but do know that I had gotten at least 10" of snow by 4 pm.

Deep clean both stoves in prep for the oncoming cold snap, first pass of snow throwing (happy with the new thrower) fiasco in the morning going to get gas for everything but survived.
Chilling with the Mrs. having a Margarita listening to some Reggae while waiting for dinner to cook. Life is good

I have a feeling I will be going to work late tomorrow because I'll bet my snow is presently going back to its previous resting spot. Oh, and they've only plowed the road once (while I was snow blowing), so there will be a huge berm to take care of in the morning.
