Got home from work and decided to check to make sure there was no oil leaking out of the plug of the snow blower (I changed the oil the other day for the first time) Well, I'm happy to report that there was no evidence of leaking, so I should be all set for tomorrow's storm.

And I'll bet you thought it would be bad news at the start of that :D

I think first thing in the morning I'll get the boss to go to Wally so I'll have my Lisinopril prescription even though I can make do with what I have on hand.

Heading down Rte 123 towards Peterborough this morning, doing the speed limit 45mph, Rhymes truck at the end of customer's snow covered driveway, sees me - then proceeds to pull out, with less than 800 feet between us.

Brakes are working -great- on the '00 Camry here. :headbang:

^^ That was my first thought also.

Second was wondering how the DOT treats these guys: going so illegal w/ hours of service. And why the hell is Management allowing it? I get it that folks need fuel - but it goes back to what G stated above. Ridiculous.

^^ Keep an eye out for these guys on the road, scajjr2 .

i'm away a few days in Aspen (not skiing as there is almost no snow, but family time!) so i'm relying on son David to check the house and run the snow blower.

on top of that I had a fever last night and upper resp congestion. dousing that with some bourbon (and the usual stuff) as we speak:thumbs::beerbbq:

When Amazon started shipping through USPS, the amount of packages overwhelmed the carriers. No additional staff were hired and the regular carriers were expected to take on the task of delivering all the extra packages, which all have to be scanned when delivered, some need signatures, etc. The postmaster in town did add an additional person a day or 2 a week to help. The length of the routes didn't change, my wife's route is 65 miles. Add in junk vehicles, the newest of which was made in 1987, and they were all made by Grumman Aircraft Company, now know as Northrup Grumman. They are useless in snow. So those frustrated with USPS delivery, be assured, the carriers are just as frustrated as you are. The scary part of all this is Wally World wants the same deal as Amazon. So be forewarned, it may get worse.

Sorry sub but both parties knew what they were getting into, now they have more than a few pizzed off people to deal with, I just plan on doing my part with small points based widely separated orders to help keep the crap flowing.

Watch the small places loose their postmasters.

My point is don't blame the carriers. Management is to blame.

Actually 87 is the oldest grumman LLV 1994 is the newest. I know a guy that worked on them... Little PO's that aren't near a VMF suffer the most when it comes to vehicular maintenance. I hear rumors new fleet vehicles will be arriving shortly in some areas...
