High ratios, high winds, bitter cold make the threat of shut down blizzard very real IMO. Most storms out to sea correct west, so if this does, should not be a surprise, and in fact I have been counting on it simply cause of known global model bias.(would be coup for Canadian!).

Great. I have to drive into Cambridge MA to meet a plumber between 12 and 4. Maybe I can camp out at my son's in Malden overnight.

 

I expect to be heading down to the Cape tomorrow. Haven't seen ice in Hyannis harbor before. I have seen ice floes going through the canal, however.

ok, I HATE ICE, I HATE BLIZZARDS, why because BLIZZARDS BRING ICE DAMS!!! we are now in the 1 foot range for the next go round, followed by a cold blast worse than the last 9 days. that brings the threat of ICE DAMS, I HATE ICE DAMS, I HATE GNIKCUF ICE DAMS.

Don't think I'm driving into Cambridge tomorrow, the weatherman is using the B word, 12+ inches expected. Thinking creatively about how to foist my commitments onto someone else.

 

yeah - I'm sure lots of folks will be out buying the needed ingredients for their milk sandwiches.

I just gassed up the snowblower. I have my 2-wheel log dolly loaded with wood, and will be rolled inside tonight.

I sure wouldn't try to get to Cambridge, or anyplace else tomorrow.

well I guess I'll head home, drag out the crock pot,thaw the beef shanks, do the pot roast dance , and watch the wind blow the snow around.

 

I have 2.5 gallons of milk, and 1.5 loaves of bread.....I better pick up a few moe of each

 

Oh, and diapers! Only had a few of those left this morning. Daughter is torturing my wallet with potty training, then regressing multiple times.
