At my work we were told a couple days before Christmas by both our UPS and FedEx drivers that there were going to be a lot of packages not going to be delivered on time, that they were a week behind. Storms, not enough drivers, lots more stuff being bought online all contributed they said.

Well helped the Mrs. get some new stock from Chelmsford MA to Wilton N.H. A couple of end tables and one Marble topped dresser daw gone it was cold all day during this move. Never saw the double digits today 8* was the highest we made it to . Installed the OAK on the P68 today finally as I found the goods to do so at Lowes believe it or not had 8' x 3' semi rigid aluminum piping and a few other things I needed. It does seem to make a difference without a doubt and I am happy I went for it as in contrary to what the weather guru's had forecasted its already -4 outside. Hope all Ya'll are doing well and Happy New Year to Ya'll !
Ah almost forgot as ya have to give credit due when its earned these LaCrete's are a top notched Pellet burning like a dream, yeah yeah I know many of you told me so sometimes its hard for this Old Mic to get it without experiencing it.

yuk! I started out something like that yesterday, only after a few hours and a nap, I got up again and felt just fine. Who knows. Anyway, hope you feel well soon. bad time to be off your feet. Too much can happen that you have to be ready for.

Temperature was -12* when I got up at 3 am. Got to work and looked on Weather Underground to see what current temp is (2.5 hours later). yep, it's cold out there.

Phone rang at 6:38 am-Thats never a good thing

My honey's boiler is out and there is no oil in the tank. Gauge shows half full :hair:
The tank and gauge are only 2 years old. :headbang:

At least she has the pellet stove going but needs to make sure the pipes dont freeze in the unused in-law basement apartment where her parents stay in the summer. That area doesnt get any heat from the stove

I'm sure you know this G: 10 or 15 gals. of Off-road Diesel (not taxed) or pump Diesel dumped into the oil tank should get her through until a delivery happens..

Homey D, Aubochon, etc. have those plastic Kerosene hand pumps that are handy to transfer, if the oil fill is below a level where you can sit the fuel can on.. Hoping the pipes in the in-law Apt. are Ok.

Yesterday's outdoor adventure was locating & filling a hole/void in the siding on the NE outside corner wall / ladies bedroom:

Natalie shows me a 2 ft. diameter ice-frosted wall, 2 ft. to the left & below the corner of the window. Said it 'looked pretty' though. :picard: Grabbed the tape measure, measured from the window casing to get an approximate location outside,

Bundled up in the cold weather gear & Loaded up w/ (2) different types of Expansion Foam hanging out of each pocket: looked like a Gunslinger going to do battle. :picard:

Ended up using the latex-based "Daptex Plus Multi-Purpose foam sealant" for the fix, and located the hole/void(s): a few years ago ants were nesting behind the outside foam board insulation against the block foundation: they must have burrowed into the bottom sill where (2) bottom joints meet. Wasn't taking any chances, I filled every void in the siding and re-sealed the window casing, just to be sure.

The Daptex product, aside from the infernal straw popping off more than occasionally, worked really well in (-)F temps.

Problem solved, no more ice sculpture on the wall. ;) Getting under the house today to check and re-seal the sill in that corner (crawlspace).

Didn't drive or start the '00 Camry yesterday - it was very unhappy starting up this morning. :(

Going to pickup a Wix oil filter and some fresh Synth oil today & show it some love, it deserves it. *And price out a replacement battery, just in case.

Have a fun day, stay Warm all. :fire:
