Yes, absolutely. We're getting by (barely) with the 2 sheds. Been toying around the idea of what & where to build something. I think the tractor will play a major roll in locations of buildings.

I left an email with the dealer yesterday to check status. I know that the dealer needed to order the third function kit and canopy, and wouldn't arrive until after Christmas last week, then they needed to build the machine and add on the extras. Trying to be patient, they did tell me the second week of January. :zip:

I think it's fuelrod that has a canopy and put on built some plexiglass doors. I think we discussed it, a while later one of my friends with a cab broke a piece of glass and it was close to a grand to replace. I remember thinking ouch, and fuelrod was thinking because firewood has been known to do stuff to glsss:whistle:

We have just the canopy. I was thinking of the sun in the hayfield when we got it, but it has been in the precipitation where I’ve come to appreciate it the most.

We have the simple plastic canopy too. It is definitely nice as a sunshade.

I operate various types of Kubota equipment. Trackhoes(80s), tractors, etc. I use a Kubota L4701. Great machines. Should serve you well.

    HST or Gear trans?

Just a plexiglass windshield and rear window bolted to the rops, the "doors" are used lumber wrapping off the job, held on with some strong magnets :D
Keeping the wind and blowing snow off of me seems to do the trick. Well that and my 12v heated motorcycle jacket!

For a B sized compact tractor HST will be highly superior .Unless you are planning to do mostly straight-line field work, you will be very well pleased with the HST. Most people who need to do straight line work need a full-sized tractor.

Nope, none of that. Won't even have use for the cruise control feature very often.

We'd like to start with a clean canvas to paint what we want. The tractor will help immensely with this.

Yeah, I prefer a gear on larger tractors I'm doing "field" work with. I worked a job recently with close 1/4 tractor use. The HST L4701 was a dream. A lot easier handling for stop and go applications I needed the tractor for.

Best of luck. Can't wait to buy a tractor of my own.

Perfect! HST is great for stop, go, loader work, tight maneuvering, etc.

Trans type should not have a significant effect on PTO output, just drawbar HP. And in a small tractor, the losses are minimal, especially compared to the productivity gains of the HST.
