Just got back from boxing up/insulating the pressure tank at my mom's. Now I'm wondering if I should've turned off the heat lamp. Groundhogs have made a mess of things over the years.
Warmed up to 4 underneath. I about run us out a the cabin not corkin off the draft on the stove. Dry poplar has more heat in it than some would think. I keep thinking about a new motor for my 451A. Maybe when I'm done with the doctor in Anchorage. And a sleep study . C Pap machine. I bet all that will run my about the same as a mint condition Pro Sharp would cost.
What I would Really like to find is a Foley/ BellSaw bar rejuvenation machine. They will grind a new groove and perfectly dress and square the rails. Unfortunately ALOT of my old bars started out as 63 ga. But, a little trueing inside the groove then closing the rails a bit would give a bar another week or 2 of full time cutting. 28s, 30s and 32" bars aren't as affordable as the used to be.
Last spring I split and stacked about 6cord of poplar for my parents fireplace. It sure does burn hot but it’s like paper, that heat goes up pretty quick!
