    On NYE 1999, I was working as a security guard. I was guarding a natural gas hub.

    I don't know what they thought would happen, or what I would do. Let's be honest, if something malfunctioned and there was an issue there I would be driving away. Was probably just to tick a box on a risk register.

    -4ºF and a slighlty frozen pipe since the crawlspace is a nice 31.7ºF. My kitchen sink has the hot and cold pipe pretty much outside. All set now:coffee:

    Oh, and the EP was almost out of pellets. It was still going but barely. Temp dropped to 60ºF back there!! Almost back up to temp now.

    Evern though it was 10* yesterday afternoon, the wind made it seem a whole lot colder. Just went out and it is -7*, almost calm wind and it felt nice

    Me thinks the delivery person just called it a day. I didn't get my mail, that had been held until Friday, so I'm hoping it arrives Tuesday. Not that I expect much besides a late card or two, but I miss the circulars for the grocery store and Agway that come out on Thursday (or Friday, or Saturday - really just whenever they decide to deliver)!

    Happy New Years all!

    Techniacally I was awake at the turn of the clock. I fell asleep on the couch somewhere around 9:30 and woke up at 11:53. Thought briefly about staying awake until 12:01, but found my way to bed. Since I leave the TV going, I heard the countdown just before the Sandman reclaimed me.
