Sun shining,got up to 20,stove been off for 4 hours,plowed,widened driveway,got backhoe fueled and fluids topped off to go do the rich neighbors ,hopefully tomorrow.Time for a beer and relax.

 

Yes I am female. Thanks for the compliment - I've worked almost 56 years to get this smart (or at least have a modicum of common sense) and worked hard the last 4 years getting fairly handy. I did have a bit of learning by observation prior to this, but I was only allowed to do grunt work or unpleasant jobs but not allowed do anything with power equipment.

 

Well,I congratulate you,and wish you were my neighbor.We have 1 gal like you,up here,but had to leave for the winter,to take care of her sick mom,so we are keeping an eye on her house and property.

 

The Toro Max 724 OE I picked up in Jan '17 on a discounted return / clearance sale @ Homey D works excellent here - if it wasn't heavily discounted, the HD-branded Ariens unit that bogieb purchased, was the one I was going to get.

Only mentioning / recommending it, in case your choices are limited when you go to purchase.. Options are good.

 

Mentioned this in another thread,Oreilly auto parts is discontinuing/closing out their inventory of FPPF Melt Down,it is a diesel emergency gel fix,truckers used to carry it,older ones still do.$1.39 a bottle,and a bottle will start a gelled tractor trailer.Go in and see if your local one has any.

Going past Bank of NH in Meredith, right on Lake Winnipesaukee, the digital sign thermo said "-0 F" .. I think that's the temperature that Nitrogen turns from a gas to liquid state.

Good grief, it was cold out today. 7 hours round-trip driving, but worth it - the glass hearth pad is wrapped up warm in a blanket, and being stored in the laundry room. Time to get back assembling on the stove.

looks like the post office took my amazon Sunday delivery out for a ride, didn't want to stop here.

I am still a big believer in privatizing the postal service.

 

It ain't 8 pm yet where Larry is.

 

Our ups and fedex guys drop everything in our drop box,down by the railroad tracks,in the winter,sometimes they call to tell you it is there.Signature for delivery kinda means nothing out here,LOL

 

Oh,I forgot,and am old,is the world supposed to end tonight,like 2000?

 

Yes at 10:11 pm Eastern the world just stops.

Neither did I, wouldn't have paid any attention to it anyway as I have the countdown clock and tee shirt from back in 1997 when we certified a pile of automated systems to be defect free as to date handling. Huge project started in 1995.

It says it went back to the post office. So looks like Tuesday for this delivery. Won't be a problem.
