Wonder if people are buying more NEWP because they feel they are locally produced?

Just go pickup some Stove Chow, most likely it's the same pellet.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I'm only on-line once (sometimes twice) per day and didn't see this until now.

So it's probably too late, but yes... The Montgomeryville Lowes had open pallets of Nature's Own, Green Supreme, and Greene Team. Last time I passed through, they had them in the little foyer on the exit door. If those piles are depleted, they usually also have them out in the garden center.

Hope I got to you in time. But heck, if you were going to the Lansdale station anyway, it's not like you had to go far out of your way! :)

Welp, my wife wound up running our daughter down to train. I had to run into work this morning and salt....I'm sick of winter already.

    Thanks for the info though.

Glad to help. Next time, do what I did... Ask your wife to grab some. :)

If all goes according to plan, I should be receiving a couple bags of PTLs from a Lowes a couple states away. The UPC is different than the ones you tested back at the end of 2014, but I'm hoping they are as good. I should know soon!

The ones that came through at that time were Doug Fir PTL's from the west coast. Unfortunately, will probably never see those again around here unless you find them in the orange Lignetics bags.

You know, you guys keep testing them -- you should start keeping a ranking system of quality/price ratios on all these pellets.

I think they are ranked and rated... Isn't this what this sub-sub-forum is?:

    Pellet Fuels

The more stars, the better? Or are you talking about more detail than that?

Sometimes we like to revisit to see if there's any improvement with pellet brands as they change mill owners . Also pellet quality can change year to year .:woodsign:

Last bag I put in the P43 hopper was Inferno Golds. It still has a bag of TSC MWP's in there to chomp thru before it gets to the Golds. Saving the rest of the MWP's for the P61 for this cold spell.

 You are forgiven then, Sir.

Betsy goes to me "How many bags of pellets we got left?" after I walked in tonight.. "Plenty, dear!"

Sure.. :picard: I'm gonna be bag-sale'ing it BIG TIME on Tuesday, and probably won't buckle the ones riding shotgun in, either.

Forgot about the airbag - Thanks Steve!

"What's in the Hopper?" .. last (2) bags of CleanFire Pacific, purchased Jan. '15, found buried at the bottom of the stack in the woodshed Thursday, bags -covered- w/ dirt, leaves, dead bugs & Forest creatures - you name it, it was on there.

Transferred to clean bags, and ran through the pellet vac: only lost about a pound due to damage / moisture, one clump looked like a softball. They're roasting fine at this moment. :D

The P43 here has some vintage MWPs in it, they are the old dark red TSC bags, think they were bought in fall 2014.

The P68 has some Blazers in it now, when they run out later tonight, they will be replaced by Vermonts.

Currently Crete's in the hopper. Have about 7-8 bags left. Will probably use them up over the next few days. Trying to still "save" the DF's.

    Me too.

If we start a poll and get enough votes, can we fast forward to Spring?
