-5 here this morning. Hope folks play it safe today and tonight especially at the NYC new year event. I know it doesn’t get quite as cold there, but the forecast says 12 degrees at midnight and that’s still awfully cold to be standing outside for hours on end.

I think it would be good day to check the dinojuice level in the tank and maybe place an order. I also should start moving the next haft ton of pellets to the burn room on Tuesday when the car is next out of the garage. Next door says it is now a week before delivery happens. I don't know if Phil is that backed up or not.

Checked just now and the price of HHO has gone up a bit. Looks like the going rate is roughly $2.75/ gal around here these days. It was $2.30 at the beginning of November and $1.80 just six months before that.

Thanks IHP ! Natalie did good, she did her homework, knew what she wanted going into the purchase. Over-concerned father was there to make sure the vehicle was good / the sale was equitable, and it was: to her benefit, and then some.

Natalie & (official co-pilot sister) Emily were doing the "Subaru counting game" on the way over to the dealership, the closer to the VT border we got, the closer we got towards 'Subaru Country'.

Weather down here in SW NH was lousy yesterday afternoon w/ snow squalls, took us 2 hours + going slow w/ the '00 Camry to get back home, ladies stayed in Keene meeting friends / shopping / showing off new car.. They breezed back home a few hours later, no issues, no big deal, and no stressed Father.

Those Exide batteries are the real deal, the '96 Camry has one in it, I'm guessing about 3 yrs. old - spins the motor around like a blender making Smoothies, even in this weather.. There must be some Plutonium in those batteries.

Heading back up to North NH today to pickup a glass Morso hearth pad advertised on CL for 20 bucks: the install location for the Englander is a tight location, I'll need build out some metal heat shields on the walls, this hearth pad will help out greatly w/ the install... even with travel & fuel, I'd be hard pressed to source the materials, to build a hearth pad for less.

    Need. more. coffee. :picard:

Time to get ready & busy - hope everyone has a fun New Year Eve !, stay warm all.

Gonna be the same here. Got about 1/2 tank and may put in a call for 100 gallons just to get on the delivery schedule. I usually can get delivery any Wednesday but right now they are inundated and behind. Of course the pricing has gone up everywhere and it does look like Rich's price is a good one at this point.

Just checked the dinojuice level in the tank I can't order yet as it will not meet the minimum amount of 100 gallons. Maybe another month or so.

Yikes !! Just checked some prices. Fieldings is at 269.9. Now they dont deliver here but their price is generally cheaper. If I cant get it 2.40 or under I have enough to play the waiting game. Time to use the stove more than I have been, seems HHO is in gouge the customer mode-also knows as supply/demand.

Some people need a course on cutting the cost of heating, the last I knew it was a lot cheaper to invest in insulation and basic air sealing than buying any kind of heating fuel.
