I'm at around 1.5 cord for the season so far, being we've had a really mild fall for the most part...... Just hauled around 3/4 cord into the garage the other day, should last us close to a month, depending on the temps.
How are you for next year storage? I have a “push comes to shove pile” so we’ll see just how that pans out. Hope it works out for you
As of 12/20/17 about 1/3 of a cord, maybe a touch more. I've been burning sometimes when it's not completely necessary. I just like it warm in my house because I can!
My folks are at the house while we are at the hospital. My ol man ain’t afraid to poke it to the wood stove especially since he isn’t CSS’n the wood. Hope my basement stash holds up.
Put new grates in the wood furnace yesterday. Firebrick this weekend . Looks like I'll be shutting down the shoulder stove in a week and firing the big guns . Highs on Wednesday 12. Should have a facecord of shoulder wood left for spring.
I have a few cords split and stacked on pallets at my cutting grounds. That wood will be ready for next year. I'll turn on the electric heat before burning wood that sizzles.
I usually bring Chuck Norris along for logs like that ... no saw needed ... Chuck just karate chops them to length !!!
Chuck Norris doesn’t even have to get the saw to cut it. He just looks at it and it cuts, splits and stacks itself in absolute wooded fear, pizzing all mc inside dry instantly !!!
Thanks everthing is good just gotta wait for momma to heal up and it should be smooth sailing till..... puberty
I'm right about 2/3 of a cord as of right now, I'm usually well over that by this time of year. It's been very warm around here this winter. It was in the high 40s today!!!
Since Dec. 13, 2017 I have used a little over a cord of wood these below zero temps. are really hard on the wood pile.
I can't believe how much wood I have burned! First 3 years we lived in this house it has been only 1 1/2 cords. But since I work close to home and come home for lunch and the cold temps I have almost burned a cord already. No worries I have a supplier down the street from me!
