4 guys justify what he is charging......
probably like me keep everyone working and not make anything on the job for me. Keeps the guys around for spring when you get hammered with work. Loyalty.....

Once the first one got started, things got real assembly-liney. One guy started pulling the next window, while someone else got the fins ready and caulked, and another nailed off the first window.
They got all 14 windows done and also put in the patio door. Pulled some soffit to see what needed done there, and some other stuff as well.
I stayed in the house most of the time. The boss was doing the inside window work.
You're probably right on the loyalty aspect. I should ask him if he has any other jobs lined up.
So, after all that, there are a bunch of coals in the stove with one split on top, and the house is staying at 70. Unheard of when it's below zero.
They'll be back in the morning.

    Absomatutely.
Doing it again this morning. I put one medium Maple split on the large load of coals leftover from last night's fire and the IAT is 70.
OAT is -10. Gotta love it. They're probably going to finish the Tyvek today, which should help a bit more. I've got a bit more foaming to do around the windows too.
I don't expect miracles, but this whole process seems to be helping.
I need to remember to wear gloves when I'm working with Great Stuff.

Good news, be careful with the foam I have seen it bow the jambs and pinch the window sash.

Been wondering why the stove isn't burning quite right since late this afternoon.......no sizzle on the wood.
Then it dawned on me. They ran a few courses of siding on the north and west walls late today, so I grabbed a flashlight and headed outside.
Yep, sided right over my OAK. :hair::picard: Guess I'll have a little talk with 'em in the morning, but in the meantime, I just undid the flex pipe from the stove.
