I thought about it Saves but I like the bench so much hiding the pallet top would have been well.... disturbing. :p There are 2 other benches in my garage as well with plywood tops that are pretty large.

Great thread. I think the wife and I might have found ourselves a project come spring.

A small shed out in the back of the property for storage of tools and garden stuff. Kind of a simple test to see if we can tackle something larger like a garage. I think your pallet builds would be an easy place to start to see if we can build something that won't collapse and kill us. :emb:

The heck with the skyscraper. Build the misses and you a tree house with a cool view! A few beers, a glass of wine!

Hmmmmm? Ya got any trees big enough? You can just tell everyone your building it for whatever young ones you have in the family. Then the two of you use it!

I think I am going to give it a go and try to build a freestanding bar with pallets.

Looks like you have a nice source for good shape pallets that are the same size.

For whatever reason the pallets I've been able to source are all sorts of sizes and heights. It was a pain to stack firewood on them even.

If I can build something that resembles a bar I will.

That contraption looks like it works great. We get all different size pallets at work. Some are bigger than a full size pick up bed and built of 2×8 and sometimes wider boards. They are a bear to move around by hand. I try to keep as many good old crossarms as possible. They are better than pressure treated and hold up well in/on the ground. Even some of them that are ugly on the outside can be ripped with tablesaw and prettied up.

Hey Pete i made these chairs pretty neat . The dropped legs were a little hard to figure out. They have to drop/swing about a 1"1/2 to work right.
They are supposed to be called magnetic pallet chairs. Install two magnets to hold legs up when carrying ..i did not install these.
They are easy to carry..i made these a little to big. I made some smaller easier to carry.I would like to build a room outta these pallets.

I tried different methods to get these pallets apart. Tried reciprocating saw ..bought the demolition blades high dollar.
They cut metal,or wood..work good for about on pallet. Cost to much to come out.
I made one of those tool to pry boards off ..no go breaks to many boards.
Tried all kinds of prying methods ..also tried nail pullers the nails they use are screw type ..pulls heads off.
What are your best ideals on this??

Also does anyone here have bamboo? I have a big patch/harvest..going to start using this to build things.
It has to be at least 4 years old before you can use it..will rot if not at least this old.
This stuff is neat ..trying to figure best method of attaching this stuff..probably small nails ,and glue..ropes??
