Took another trip to my daughter's school with my dad to help them clear out a few more trees before their new playground fence goes in...felled a nice Black Locust and two White Oaks. Also picked up the rest of the Black Cherry that I felled last week...this is my new happy place!
I can't believe the potential of this new honey hole...the school is going to be expanding onto an adjacent (and heavily wooded) 75 acre lot here in the near future, and they're all about saving money in whatever way they can...looks like my merry band of chainsaw wielding hillbillies and I are going to be busy!
#1) Gooder on you Rangerbait #2) You $uck! Really great score....and more wood to go, that’s money in the bank, bud.
Awesome! I still have only used the cant hook and timber jack functionality so far, and it's great for those. There have been a couple of occasions where I would have preferred to have a little more leverage when rolling bigger logs, but for the compact size, the LogOx is outstanding.
I'm quite stoked...and I feel like a jerk show-boating my fortune, but I'll get over it Really happy to finally bag a decent amount of Black Locust; been hunting that stuff for over a year now, and haven't really had a sizable score until now. The White Oak was just plain icing on the cake!
