    Yep. Snowflakes are extra special,.

It's developed a new and decidedly less pleasant use as a disparaging term for a person who is seen as overly sensitive and fragile.

Not to hijack post but I’ll take a picture or two of some I have around here when it gets light out. Some of my splits don’t have the bark on it as it was standing dead and limbs were bare when I was cutting some of it. To me it KIND OF looks like oak but has subtle differences as well. Barkwise no but grain I might as well show the differences.

Keep it going, you are actually helping us realize that there’s a big disparity in species and locations. I could go on and on but when they mention doug fir here I have to pause and realize there’s an Eastern Douglas Fir and Western here. Not hedging any bet on it being the same but maybe similar? This is more than interesting HolsatiaRedneck. We’re here for fun and learning too. If its something to do with wood, we’re on it like midwest farmers on Corn in the spring to harvest.

I'm no farmer, but corn is harvested in the summer and fall. ;) Corn is planted in the spring though:yes:

I dislike this term immensely. For one, snowflakes are awesome, two overt sensitivity exists on both sides, third I am sick to death of the left vs right bullchit.

I agree with everyone, continue as is. I typically love all things Deutschland, except SAP software, Nazis, and Volkswagen cam chain routing.

It's not really a left vs right thing. I don't know how that ever got associated with one view or the other.

I'm just saying we need to have thicker skin.

I've never seen bark like that before. Looks like the badlands from the air!
