The roasting oven is from an estate and has been in my shop for over a year, I guess I never opened it up.
The roasting oven after doing some searching is a copper bodied washing tub/boiling tub like this one.
The oil can is what caught my eye. It is what we used when I started putting oil into engines. Haven't seen one in years.
Very cool! I found not one but TWO antique P.R.R. caboose lanterns last year, two different styles, one being really early. Got them cheap too! They're still in the garage, gotta get wicks and an oil cap for one of them. Gonna hang them on posts in the house eventually.
Scotty Overkill Anything like this one? Name on it is Badger and I got it from my grandfather. Still has the original wick and cotton batting in the oil section. That must have prevented oil from sloshing out when they used to swing them. I think it had coal oil in it cause it is some foul smelling stuff.
