By 11:30 pm I was  for almost 2 hours

Down side of not being home for any holiday-no leftovers. Took home some awesome food from my sisters but not much. Just enough for a snack after the cleanup when I got home. There was plenty to take but as I was leaving early I didnt load up. At least I took some, when I dont I always regret it later that night

Any Italians out there know the amount of great food at a holiday gathering. Most that marry into the family have to get use to pacing yourself as its an all day grazing not a sprint.

And I have a piece of cheesecake for tonight

My Honey's side is Italian , a Holiday dinner was a turkey and all the trimmings , a roast beef , baked zita , home made ravioli , sausage and meatballs . When that was cleaned up out comes the deli platter to make a sandwhich , then all the goodies and desserts . No way you go away hungry unless your lips were sewed shut .

Christmas Eve was nice at friends / old neighbors home getting caught up. even though Kathryn and I do not go all out for each other on Christmas I got a complete ensemble....... socks, underwear, long johns, comfy shirt, and 2 pair of zip-offs. mostly cause I never buy anything for myself in the clothes dept.
Great Christmas dinner at son David's house with mostly Jaime's family. had to pose for a group photo at the end, I had Landon up on my shoulders kneeling in front when the photographer wanted me to move over to the center...... oh, now wait just a minute here.....that would put me :hair:NEXT to my EX!!!!!!!!!:hair: nope, not happening. not,not not! :headbang:I managed to evade making a scene gracefully..... but I would not move over more than an inch....

a good time had by all, but I was glad to park it in my corner of the couch, 65" TV on, and my honey next to me under the quilt in front of the Harman roasting LaCrete!

Well today is my Christmas all of the kids big and small will be here shortly. Yesterday was a washout could not get out or in the yard. My son still has to get his rental out of the yard as it is stuck, he should have plenty of help shortly, I'm useless when it comes to pushing cars with "summer " ( I guess) tires on them.

Better safe than sorry. Enjoy your family event.
We did ours the evening before. Everything went really well. The dogs and cats didn't bother anyone. The grandkids all behaved well. They had fun, made noise, but all good. Christmas day went well. Went upstairs to watch the kids have their tree, then at 5 pm, the storm was over so we went to my daughter's house for Christmas dinner. Nice time there also.
Tomorrow, my generator should be delivered, and my computer is scheduled to be ready from Best Buy. Thursday I go to Falmouth for my knee injection again.

Sounds about right minus the deli platter-but I guess antipasto is a salad with a deli platter on top of it.

My sister didnt do appetizers this year so that more of the main courses were eaten.
