I can't help you with that, I just lit the stove. It's been down 24 hrs., so there is no heat yet, never mind any to spare.

Ok, so I got home and snowblowed and roof raked and I'm eating some Christmas lasanga. With a bottle of Allagash (Maine) triple brew I got as a gift. It's 21 deg. the fire is lit and it's going start to get cold here soon. The heat wave is ending.

Full tilt time! My son is away for the week, so no one to feed the stove, until i get home from work! I roof raked some, will need to finish tomorrow. It kicked my azz having that 3" thick ice in the middle.

Once that ice forms, it's hard to get rid of.

You got that right! I did throw 1 leg worth of rock salt filled pantyhose in the valley of the roof to help with drainage. Working petty good.

Nah, nothing like that! The indoor temp was in the upper 60's and the OWB was fired up fast. 1 1/2 hours, all back to normal without any complaints about it being "cold in here".

We just got done playing cards by the kicker stove for that extra warmth. Nice!

Catching probably the tail end of tonight a bit. Hope everyone ate well and enjoyed their time with family, all that. Well my tradition has been going on for quite a few years. It’s keeping this thing going until I leave. My job with a few others as I get older. The remaining Yüle log has been placed. Merry Christmas... 6200B197-6A3E-405E-94B0-6B44E95B51BE.jpeg

It's 4° out, certainly dropping in temps. Burning all sorts of stuff today, even calories. I think this is apple, Cherry and elm. IMG_20171225_170508484.jpg IMG_20171225_170507212.jpg

Wicked cold coming to NH this week!

Starting Wednesday we've got highs of about 5 degrees and lows down to -15 for a week straight!

Got a giant stack of Red Oak and Sugar Maple ready to toss into the OWB. With temps this low Im sure itll require two fillings per day!

This is today's forecast. Temps are in Celsius.....but remember...-40F and -40C are the same thing. So...have a look at the wind chills in the right column. Welcome to Edmonton Alberta Canada. Do I win the cookie ? :)
