Hope things keep improving for you Dennis. Do you hurt more now than when you went in?

 

I hope they can help Sav, when I talked with you it sounded like you were in some bad azz pain.

I feel for you with the Vertigo Dennis. My dad is 81 and was driving part time to keep himself out of the house. Then one day some small signs of vertigo showed up and he had an indoors accident, lost his balance and hit his head on a door.
Off to the docs and 2 everyday pills later he is doing ok. No night driving and no day driving with distances over 10 miles round trip. At least they didn't totally take the car away.

I'm going to share something with you. Take it or leave it. I am obviously not a doctor. But I did sleep at a Holiday Inn sometime last year. I can't remember when. (C.R.S.)

My brother has had problems with his neck and back for years. Symptoms depend on a number of things that can affect it. Cold, straining the wrong way, etc. Years ago they, the doctors, said he could have surgery, and it would help him. But he is very leery of surgery, unless absolutely necessary. So he has endured the pain and used what he could to help with it. I can't remember if he used heat or cold. But, recently he was basically incapacitated for almost a week. So to make a long story short he decided to try inversion. Have you ever tried this? If not, I know you may be thinking hogwash! LOL. Well, they bought a Teeter hang up. Not sure what model, but for the price of them, it may be something to think about. He said he can not believe the difference he is feeling. Almost all of his pain is gone. It may be something that you could try in combination with what you and your doctors are doing. Like I said. I'm not doctor. I have played one on a club website before though. Just sharing.

 

I'm sure it depends on what is causing the pain. I have an inversion table and I have to be really careful. I got stuck on it once... tweaked something and I couldn't bend down to unclamp the foot holders.

I went through a similar deal as you Backwoods. The regular injections worked for a month or so.
They went to kill/burn nerves and it failed horribly.
The day after they did the test injections I was in so much pain I was seriously considering slamming my fingers in a door to get my mind off my back.
The "no pain" would be nice but I want the REASON fixed too, not just removing the signal.

Hope all works out. Chronic pain is not fun.

 

Good luck. My brother had extensive back surgery two weeks ago. Went from the top of his back down to his butt, then two side cuts. But he is home now. Pain is still intense, but it is a different pain that should go away. 11 hrs of surgery. He ended up a half inch taller!

 

I Sincerely hope the procedures are going to take care of this severe pain for you.
I can identify somewhat, I have cervical spondylosis, That's in my neck brought on by degenerative Osteoarthritis.
I have been doing very well the past 5 years after going to the Pain Center and getting shots in my neck

 

Dennis, I too have gone through the nerve burns/blocks, corticosteroid injections, epidural. Etc. While limited, they did help. Unless things are way worse after the injections keep at it. It takes a few procedures to really take effect. Works for some, not for others...listen to your body and stand up for your care. Don't let them keep doing them if it's not helping, but give it a chance. They want your money. Only continue if you see some progress, even if short lived, within a week of the injections.

My personal experience, I have no medical training.
