I'll be heating into June by the looks of things. Warm Saturday after this blizzard then lows in the single digits again next week.

Hopefully not June. Wish ful thinking, but I hope to be shutdown by the middle of April. Just raining now, but it will be changing to snow shortly.

Ugh. It was 58 here yesterday. I was doing work outside in short sleeves, and perfectly comfortable.

Today, we're in the middle of 6-10 inches of snow, and the local TV station just recorded a 60 mph wind gust 15 miles from here. Sustained 20-40 mph winds, and it's supposed to drop down to 0 tonight, with wind chills well into the negatives.

In the end, I'll still take snow over mud. White is much nicer looking than brown.

The storm has started. First scattered snow, then rain, now snow flakes the size of quarters. NOAA still is predicting a foot. Blizzard conditions. Went out early but now back in the comfort of home. No need to go out again for a few days.

Snowed last night, about 3", got down to 4F, then at around 10 am today was about 50f, everything melted off the road but lot's of accidents in the morning. We have had a few of these lately. I guess people forget what spring storms are like when snow hit's warm roads then freezes? A few fatalities on the highway, wish people would keep an even head, winter is NOT over.

We are in for a major chill down, the wind is blowing a Gail. So far 1500 people without power in the county. I have had the stove off this week due to warm weather, I was going to light the stove tonight but holding out in case the power goes out! To give you a idea it was 66 degrees today, and now it is 36.

Saw a news clip last night about a pellet company in Strong, Cool story. They made tooth picks there for decades. That came to an end quite a while ago and they've tried different things to survive. Now, they've become one of the biggest pellet manufacturing co in the state. Awesome, as the area can use every job it can find.

The problem is, their pellets aren't very good.

I don't burn em, so… do you know why ? Must be a reason. Wood type? Not kiln dried enough? Wondering how they got so big if they're not so good.

Kinda lucked out on this storm. It went 30 miles north of prediction so all rain yesterday and overnight until about 3 AM, then snow. Been snowing all morning and finally cleared out. I might have several inches to clean after work but better than the 6-12 that was predicted.

and, recently, they added a $20/ton "energy surcharge" to their pellets, making the not so great pellet a not so great deal either.
