X2 draft readings, but also adjusting the dip switches. Sometimes letting the pellets sit a little longer in the burn pot when the customer burns DF before it gets into its 2nd cycle.

Wow,being exhaust probe temp controlled, only thing I can see different is the initial feed for start up,if vacuum is already set for the combustion blower, unless if you are seeing pellets with lots of bark and dirt.

I run douglas fir pellets in my Harman at a low pellet burn rate and it heats my whole house. I've had my stove for only a year though but I try to take care of it. Sometimes it takes hearing/reading to voices of others for one to really appreciate how good I have it.

I won't burn Lignetics -- the brand name pellet that is -- if given a choice. But I'm not that big of snob, really. I'd turn my underwear into pellets if I could and needed to. I have to warn you though -- it's not going to be pure fuel.

That surprises me some. I too can get North Idaho DF pellets for 245 a ton out here in Western Washington. Some of my friends think theys are the bomb and rate them considerably ahead of Bear Mountain. I've tried a few bags of them and thought they were good but I'm not sold they deserve another $40+ bucks more from me. I'll probably buy a ton of them one day but if not -- these BM pellets and the douglas firs coming out of Shelton, WA are quite good and cheaper -- and often go on sale in the off-season while I have yet to see North Idaho pellets go on sale.

Not a pellet burner, but I thought everyone loved the Liggies.

I know these haven't rated very high in some older reviews but I like them better than Bear Mountain. They burn slightly hotter and cleaner. I am convinced these two bags are exactly the same for different retailers. These are the ones I like coming out of Shelton, WA... and not their sister pellet Olympus which rates slightly behind them according to their own website.

Doug sells the Northern Warmth pellets. They buy in bulk from pellet mills in other parts of the US and Canada, ship to New England to be bagged under the Northern Warmth brand. Most of what Doug sells are pellets us East Coasters would not normally have a chance to buy, like Douglas Firs. At one point(maybe still currently) the Bear Mountains were in one of their bags!

yea, wonderful.....now folks are gonna be $crewing with their dip switches and messing with the draft pots....."if I read it on the internet it MUST be right"...
We have been selling DF's for quite some time.....they seem to burn well in our Harmans, without adjustment. Yea......be wary of messing with this stuff, please. I'm gonna charge you a service charge to come out and reset the stove you've messed with......

You mean to tell me that arguably the best pellet available doesn't burn well in a Hormoan? I thought they can burn anything? ;) :D

Let's be clear. I own a Harman i52 and all I've ever burned is DFs and I've never, ever had an issue. Somebody likes adding to the rumor mill. I thought this place was a lumber mill??
