Morning all. I gotta get you guys into chain grinders . Juiced powerheads are nice. But perfect chains are better. ;-). Burn less fuel also. Hearing that P51 reminder me of running P42 Pioneers. One outfit I logged for several times ran P42 Pioneers as landing saws. / chasers saws. I've run many gallons of gas thru them. Most of the time they were very good saws. But when they would act up I could never figure out how to get them running again. They were direct competition for the 041 Stihl. . the P51 was about the same power as the 051 Stihl. But weighed less. The P61 didn't have a direct correlating Stihl model. I had a couple 655 Poulan Pro's . Which were a slightly updated P61. I never did quite understand the reed valves. And I think they would break or act up in some way. At the time it was easier to buy a Stihl or Husky and give the saw to some firewood cutter. I gave the first 064 I bought to a good friend. It still runs good. I bought it almost 28 years ago. I put a bit more than 1 full season on it bushlin.
Good now that we r back in the 0 and below range. That 30+ above was embarrassing and a pain. Its got all the moose hanging out along the highways . we had enough warmth to end up with a crust on the snow. Bad for the moose.
