    Yeah, I agree.
My goal is getting a new stove before next season, so if I need to forgo the goodies......well, so be it.
There aren't any savings to be had by getting those now, as opposed to later.
The BK has a 10 year warranty on their cats too. That's a plus.
I can rationalize the heck out of anything if I try.

Dave, your quite the researcher! This is sort of like a reality tv show, wondering what the last show will be like (which stove will he pick)

Yeah, I'm half expecting that they won't finalize the deal.
    Shows as "processing".

I hope for your sake this is the stove you want. If you get cold feet with it, you should be able to get most of your investment back. Since you already have a stove, or is it two, you should be getting the one you want, the one you are going go be happy with.
That is a good deal. There is lots of support here. Happy burning. Pics are in order.

    Thanks save.
This isn't really the stove I want, but was before I knew about the BKs and the new IS.
I built the hearth with this stove in mind.....mostly.
Financial situation should improve in a couple years, and I'll revisit the stove selection then.

Where are people getting the deal? The HD page I'm looking at shows the 30-NCH at $899.

That's what I did to make it work.

Got a question about the Englander side shields: The web site states that the side shields "Allows closer clearance from sides of stove to combustibles (see manual)."

Yet, if you read the manual, page 5, illustration 1, it states side clearances of 12" with or without shields; same with the corners, even though the pic of the side shields show corners on the shields. If the clearances are the same, what's the benefit of the $95 side shields???

I've got the 30NC in my shopping cart at the JC HD, $250 off is a pretty good deal.

    Thanks,

ETA: Ordered. We'll see if it goes through.

Side shields will help with a blower and also lessen the direct heat making it more comfortable to be near.. At least this is how it works on the T5..
