I seem to remember Herb was part owner of that place. Does Greg still have a partial interest in your workplace? If these first names mean nothing to you that means I'm off base.
I have an Arizona 1986 Suburban, a 1998 TX Tahoe, 2008 Duramax (purchased new) 2006 Super Duty and my wife drives a 2008 Trail Blazer (purchased new). I've owned domestic all my life. Our next vehicle will most likely be a Toyota Sequoia, maybe a Ford Expedition. I can't bring myself to buy a GM product after what happened to stock and bond holders.
Yikes! That immediately made me think of my old boyfriend who wouldn't watch a movie with an actor in it that had political affiliations different from his own---I'd say how he lives his life is separate from what he does---I also rooted for ball teams because they made a good play regardless of the color of their pants (this did not appeal to another boyfriend who quickly became an ex)---I do understand your viewpoint though Casper --heck I've boycotted my share of items --grapes in the 80's (think that was a trucking thing) Shell Oil (something to do with exploiting the people on the Ivory coast) and razors (until my legs could be combed)---Herb was one of 3 owners when I started work here---he passed away--owner 2 bowed out (Wagamon) and French handed the business to his son Dave Jr. who has whipped us into a money-making machine (he has since bought a concrete plant which he has expanded to 3 locations)---sure do know those names---stop in sometime!
I knew Herb for a long time. His daughter graduated a couple years ahead of me. He built a few projects for me years ago. It's good to see competition in our area again. French used to own a concrete plant in Andover but sold out to Sidley. My foundation, basement walls, basement floor, garage floor and walkways are all from the original French's concrete plant. I'm not a Sidley fan. My mom had her newly poured parking apron spawl on her when they were using fly ash (I think) in their mix.
I've heard nothing but good things about the quality of the French concrete---it's here in the front drive if anyone wants a look see (then come on in for a "me see")
Has nothing to do with fly ash the "installer" over worked the cream and it spawls. 2 guarantees with concrete 1) it is going to gat hard 2) it is going to crack
