Yep looks lite it, Toyota Hilux i reckon, older model if possible. The VW Amarok is a domestic but way to expensive and more of a lifestyle car. I need a workhorse!
Ford Ranger is another option but the ones you can buy here are build under license in asia if i recall it right.

    That's a nice sprayer Mark.

Hol, that's cool. I have watched a bunch of German boar hunts on video. That's one of the things I will do when I visit my sister. Want to go to Chezk and do the Red deer and boar hunt.

Sounds good to me Sir! Before you do, get acquainted with german hunting customs and traditions - youll be a highly appreciated guest there!
If you cross the border eastbound its supposed to be well nice there, they also have good beers and are known to serve a decent dish.
And youre likly to drink some slipovitz (easterneuropean moonshine) there.

The high tops, to me, set them apart from a husky. Low tops remind me of huskies

Mark, thanks for Madsen article. I chuckled about Oregon engineers surprised that the factory grind got beat. They should spend 5 minutes reading manual written by silveys engineers. Lol

Jason, chain pic you posted on ope. Riley or Copsey?

    Afternoon y'all!

Yep! Its a world of its own, it sounds like your brother inlaw is a local so youll be awrite. Mossy Oak paired with some Orange Blaze and you be fine!
Maybe you come across one of these fellas:

Bayrischer Gebirgsschweißhund / Bavarian Mountainbloodhound* (*sloppy translation)
(Schweiß means sweat. If game loses blood its called Schweiß, blood inside the body is still blood)
Good trackers, breed for the mountains.

Pro sharp shouldn't of won IMO. So that tells me consistency and accuracy is why it did. Pic angles were deceiving but most appeared to be back leaners.

Did it say how much time they had to grind?

No I didn't see a time deadline Shawn. Consistency seemed lacking in the pictures. Would like to see them in person. I'm going to guess back lean isn't as big of deal with the beak. Could it help in giving more pressure on the chip before it's cut loose?
