New saw recommendations...help me supplement my stable

The 660 was lean, no 4 stroke and the 661 was pretty lean.

Try ol’ bird legs or the Sneller-feller ; the Tree-monkey guy does a mean 261 from what I hear

 

I concur. Both looked ok but nothing spectacular.

 

I believe Jack is TESTING these builds ...these are BRAND NEW SAWS !... now anyone that knows saws is keenly aware there is a break-in period of say 15 tanks of fuel after which the carb is re-adjusted and max performance can be achieved ... Also the Oregon skip-chain used is not really that great imho ... your mileage may vary !

You sir are of course correct ... that is my ad ... however this is not the appropriate thread... and I’m not interested in posting prices and/or photos ... I will however show videos of Saws in action... I’m extremely busy at this time however if one wishes to start a private conversation then have at it !

I apologize if you don’t know Jack Beelar from hotsaws101 - Unfortunately I’m extremely busy at this time with other projects and wouldn’t be able to perform any work for you in the near future ...

 

Jack can build you a 261c in whatever configuration you desire ... from woods-port Worksaws to Psycho-ized screamers ... all depends what you are looking for and how much you want to spend ! I think he’s about 6 weeks out ... Jack is the not the “cheapest” but imho you get what you pay for !

 

I have about 5 more skids to rebuild/reinstall and then we shall see !

Specs on the new 462 are looking awesome. Weight of a 441 and power of a 461. Just thought I'd stir the pot.

FWIW, I currently own 261CM, 361, and 461. All ported. I may be tempted to sell the 261 since I have 2 other brand 40cc range saws.

 

Uh , rumor has it that the 462 “won’t come around “ like the 461 ... take it for what it’s worth ; myself - I’m stocking up on all the 461’s I can afford !!’

 

Hotsaws101 has a vid showing a 462 vs 461 ... 462 not available in USA so musta came from across the pond !!!

 

Thats a terrible rumor to be starting. The 462 jug is almost identical in design except for cc flow divider.

Really and No. You know how well the 261 works when ported. Why would a 462 be different?
