You got a thread on that motor swap? Or just in this thread? What motor is in it now?

    Edit..
I see looks to be a Tecumseh. What output shaft is on it? Assuming a belt and pulley 3/4" keyway, no?

I know the bolt pattern for mounting the 6.5 hp predator I put on the splitter works on a Briggs pattern. I'd be shocked if it didn't just bolt in.

You know those Tecumseh snow king motors were great, started great in the cold. Those motors were why Briggs bought out Tecumseh and then shuttered the plants. They were all right here within miles of my house. Of course, Briggs is right here too, just in Milwaukee.

Not feeling awesome as usual today. Stupid cold.

Figure I'll stay indoors and clean some guns and maybe watch the Colts loose again.

Same motor I decided to tear into today and see what’s wrong I think the rings are bad and exhaust valve is burned pretty bad.

I’m not sure what I am doing yet but it will probably end up getting a new motor thinking about either a preditor or maybe a Koehler like my splitter has.

10 years of nothing but one giant pita of a Tecumseh engine. Every year it breaks:startled: I think I am over the issues it’s time to replace it with a quality engine....

99 dollar predator, don't judge by the low cost. Ours has been awesome on the splitter.

They start so easy, but I hear you. Gotta be a way to add e start. Honda stuff certainly, but the extra start plug ins look the same on all the motors, regardless of who makes the motor. I'll see what I can find.

Well this is interesting I found the valve spring clip completely gone tore it all the way to the crank case and no sign of it. I I just put it all back together after cleaning the carb, cylinder head and piston out and adding a new spark plug and spring clip the stupid thing runs.:loco:

This motor sucks. Where in the world is the valve spring clip? o_O

We had a few of our dysfunctional boating family over on Saturday night. My wife made 4 lbs of her own recipe coconut shrimp, and 2 different dipping sauces, to go along with a baked brie, a cheese and charcuterie platter, we had wine, prosecco, cava, mixed drinks, and beer. It was a lot of work, but so much for hosting a party. I vacuumed, swept, cleaned everything, inside and out of the house, spent a bit of time making a playlist for music over the stereo. So needless to say this am we slept in.

I did move another row of my tree service freebies stack from the driveway to the lower stacks, and the pine to my patio stack. I have this week to work, then I'm off until after the new year.

I'll be installing vinyl plank flooring in the back hall and spare bedroom. When I'm not doing that, I'll be on firewood duty in the woods.
