    Coffee is on.

Wow, considerably colder than it is here. Its 16F here, but 11F once you get away from my pond.

And 12oz isn't a large coffee! This is America! Bigger is better. I only use two mugs out of all the ones in my house, based only upon volume. They hold 16oz, rest are around 12oz.

How bout' we take it down to -10 f this morning................Both stoves had a nice red coal bed to re fire on. Loaded them both last night about 9:30 and stirred em up and threw a 3 yo Oak split on each. Cave is a comfortable 74 for :coffee: & :flipeggs:Supposed to heat up to a balmy +9 and sunny today. Think I'll just look out the window for the foreseeable future... :shiver: Everyone have a safe, fun and warm day.

Supposed to break the first of the week. Glad I have this 3 yo Oak. It's giving a perfect burn with nothing but ash dust left and awesome BTU's. Thank God there is no wind.

Just looked at my weather station and apparently I missed the negative temp - must have hit it for a couple of minutes and then the wind shifted and the warmth from my house raised it back up to zero (the sensor is about 10" from my kitchen window). Cell phone had a hard time focusing on the screen but ther is a "-" in front of that 1.

    First negative temp of season-sm.jpg

Hmm, don't know why the time is off by a bit less than 4 hours

EDIT: 7:12 am - Just reset the time so it is correct, then looked at the temp again and it is back to -1, wind shifted again.

Maple and oak in the stove this morning, sitting at 16 degreen and calm wind.

Yesterday was my wife's b-day party, so we cleaned and cooked all day. I made her another Buche de Noel cake. Birch log again. 20171216_132414.jpg
