    With the EAB wreaking havoc in these parts, there is a ridiculous amount of dead or dying Ash trees around...my latest score is from a lady around the corner that had a few taken down, but couldn't afford to have it hauled away. Score!

    image.jpeg I've have about 10 cord worth I am currently working at my parents house. The one above was a monster. I'm still cutting on this one, then there are 4 more in the 30" range on the ground in the woods. I broke down and bought a 25 ton black diamond splitter because of all this wood. This is my Dad standing on the stump.

    Now that’s a tree that will heat most for the season ... I’ve seen people advertise in C-list “free wood , a winters worth of warmth - just remove the tree and it’s yours” and then you look at the pic at it’s an ash straight-up like a popsicle and you would be lucky to get enough to keep the house above freezing for the season !!!
