well waiting on Pellets Direct for two pallets of Lewis brick. decided very late into season to give the oil burner a little help. nursed thru the early season with a short buy on lewis and TSC Redstone block. to be honest I'm sick of playing with the thermostat. I'll be glad to fire up this pm and get back to the steady temp rise and fall that accompanies wood heat. is it Christmas yet, I feel like it this afternoon, have a day
I have got 4 brick in the Drolet at the moment. I put them on hot coals and they brought the stove up to 300 degrees without using the damper or decreasing the air flow. I think I will try the remaining twelve in one batch and see what they can really do.
It's Christmas and the fire is started. two pallets right in the garage less one bag. no off to a personal sad thing for me. have to say good bye to my older brother this afternoon. i'm so sad at this time , guess I had to just blurt it out somewhere. thanks for your ears to those that read this. again have a day
Doug.... My sincere condolences on the loss of your brother. It’s always difficult losing a loved one, but certainly is a bit harder to take this time of year. Cherish your memories. I’m certain that’s what your brother would want. Fiber Fuel Guy.
Doug, may your memories help ease you burden in this time of sadness.. you are in thoughts and prayers!
Doug, so sorry for the loss of your brother...May he rest in peace and you just remember all that was good....
So hard to say goodbye to someone you've known all your life...find support with those that loved him too.
thank you for all the kind thoughts. chin is up so back to the real world. used 8 brick, could maybe added 2-3 more. 1 PM after 15-30 original fire shut the f100 full close. got home about 6PM and opened 100%. stove top at 350. heating a large oversize raised ranch w/addition of family room to 65*, bedroom side about 60 (2000-2300 sq. ft.) with a jotul f100. will refire at 8pm or so for the over nite. house will historically be 60-65* at 4-5AMM. that is our story here with this product. recommend, yup if you are 68 and still like heating with wood heat.( especially if your spending and buy at $300-350/cord)
sorry for the split in last post. just refilled for over nite. stove top at 300* from 8 brick at 1PM. one thing noticed how hard coals are? might be an improvement? much firmer leftovers! let you know what we find at 4-6AM. got to shut it down!
ok, promise last post. inside 15 mins. stove top 350*, exhaust 600. guess it will slowly go 500-600* and refill AM at 250-300*
500*ST,800* EX, celts are on??? how about a stove vs stove on wood vs brick??? got to be same brand stove-brick? or turn it around?
Hey guys....hope this info helps! I think Dan’s monster pic may portray the bricks to seem larger than they appear, somewhat like objects in your rear view mirror. I’ve been watching the thread and comments. You folks are clearly all very knowledgeable on your wood for sure! Happy to see some great results!
Maybe I didn't spend long enough on the website because I didn't see that. Brick Dimensions should be on the main page in my opinion. Those would work better in my stove 18 in east or west, Tractor Supply blocks are nine and a half inches long, they won't fit front to back or side to side
Good point, HD. We recently totally revamped our website and the actual dimensions of the brick aren’t included. The image I attached is primarily sent with an information package to retailers. We’ll definitely look into adding it to the website. Much appreciate the feedback!
Hopefully someone can help us out with that. I’ve never heard feedback from a tube stove user in the past. I’ve sent out a good group of samples to a handful of guys. Looking forward to seeing their pics and results.
