My led C7 replacements made it to my mail box, plenty of room in the mail box and the box the replacements arrived in, mostly unneeded packing material.

The package arrived between 7 and 8 tonight.

I also get most my music from prime, I get a lot of it. on Alexa. I have Alexa in every room. I get the news, weather and many other things. Can turn lamps on and off easily. Also use it as an intercom between rooms. I can call cell phones with it. Soon to add echo connect so can use it to make and answer routine calls. Should my wife fall, she can call 911 or me or whomever from where she is. If she calls, I can use my phone to look into my house and see what is going on. I can also ask Alexa to turn on the ring camera etc. The uses for Alexa seem endless and growing all the time.

it startles me a little to have someone walk up on the patio and leave a package at that time of evening. Those guys all wear dark clothing. They drop their packages and head out as fast as they can. They are working really long hours. I get a notice as soon as someone approaches. Everything is recorded on video. We have a picture window facing there so I get a full view of whoever it is. We are all glass on that end. No curtains, drapes etc. With the alert going off, I have a chance to get my stuff in before it freezes. That doesn't take long in these temps.

Amazon has an answer for you and SmokeyTheBear !! Just use the Amazon Key and the delivery person can let themselves into your home to deliver your Amazon package!!!

Big Brother is coming and people are not only encouraging and embracing it, they are paying for their own invasion of privacy :picard:

Review | Amazon wants a key to your house. I did it. I regretted it.

Flipped the mod switch to hi/lo for the first time......... Eats a lil more pellets but saves the ignitor and doesn't take as long to bring back up to temp. Still got the stat programmed for set back in away/sleep times. Low fire(maintain) doesn't keep the house at temp, But certainly keeps it from droppin so quickly. :D

Bit of white chit on the buggy this AM, Roads were fine and an uneventful ride it...... I think they remember how to drive now, Actually played nice and didn't ride the bumper or pass like there wasn't anything on the roads. No tracks from any off road adventurers either. :)

My late arriving pack was not from *zon and unlike Larry it will be a cold day below before Alexa in any of its forms makes it into the house as for giving *zon a key to the house only if someone comes up with a fully automatic and safe weapons system to take out the poopers and other vermin they might hire for delivery people.

I have only 134 bags plus what is in the hopper left from my last bunker load from 2014. I am a poor excuse for a pellet Oinker.

That is an interesting read. Insightful. The author mentioned zon missed 4 of the 8 times for scheduled deliveries. I love my Alexa features, however I doubt I will ever feel ok about having strangers enter my home. I have two large dogs who won't allow any stranger in without some meet and greet so I won't ever meet zon's requirements. I put my trust in the dogs and always will have dogs living with me. I can't imagine being the delivery person. Just too creepy to enter people's homes. Never know what you will be confronted with. Will need to see if this catches on, or is a flop. The company won't keep it unless it improves their profit margins by a measurable amount.

When you bought that load, times were different. you bet against shifts in availability. That doesn't seem to be an issue for the last couple years, or for the foreseeable future. Unless you have restricted access, there mostly is no need to take up huge amounts of space. I'm working out of two tons at a time. Seems about right. When I plan right, I have that storage area freed up during the non heating season
