Its -13c/8f here and Im working through the tail end of a lodgepole pine/doug fir burn. I think Ill do an overnight burn tonight. Ive been so darn sick the last couple of days its been to painful to even think of loading the stove near bedtime. I hade enough kindling to start a fire yesterday morning but not this morning. It was agonizing splitting some this morning. When I felt I was getting sick I should have put up some kindling. I just dont think about it much since the stove doesnt go out very often. I also havent been around these parts much for a few either. Im feeling a bit better tonight so hopefully this isnt the calm before round two.

Do you think it's the flu, or a bad cold? The 12 hour pseudoephedrine keeps me going when I get that sick. I hope you feel better.

Mod 20's now, but warming to mid 40's while at work.. Too cold to not load the stove, going to be too warm to load it if I was at home today.

A few left over beech splits and mainly maple for at work burn.

Mild here. Upper 20's / low 30's. Two splits of black locust and one split of white oak to get us through the day.

No real cold weather in sight.

Currently sitting at -3 C feels -9 C (27 feels 16 F) and not much of a fire to shake the chill. It's really gonna suck when our winter comes back in 4-5 days.:D

I intended to try to plow snow this morning but neighbors would have nothing to do with that. One neighbor called and while on the phone a different neighbor went by and wouldn't you know, he was coming here. Guess I won't plow snow for a while yet. Temperature when he was plowing snow was 5 degrees.
