Just finished cleaning up the rest of the snow I didn’t do yesterday with the new to me rear blade on the tractor. Working great! Before that I did several different things throughout the day that needed doin. Laundry for the wifey, shoveling some snow, more firewood brought in with my son helping, and I also did my favorite thing ..... the bills!

Oh well, got a good bit done today. Time to relax.

Day 4 of working on the truck. Brake lines are all in. Tires mounted. New fuel pump in. Tank reinstalled. Now a wheel speed sensor is bad. Ugh. Im gonna be eating ramen for months. :emptywallet::emptywallet::emptywallet::emptywallet::emptywallet:

40s here today, but heavy wind and rain made it seem colder. Not that I'm complaining, the driving machines got pressure washed

That’s one pile of crap Chevy! Kid bought it like that pre beat up and asks me to fix it ever time it breaks.

He can’t stop telling me “ those trucks are the best ever made “  I told him I’ve had a few and they are decent if they are in good shape but not the best by far:whistle:

You could fill a 55 gallon drum with all the rust on it too:rofl: :rofl:

Ironically it’s what makes it a good truck for a first time driver though...

    Isn't it fun?

A project truck that you want to invest in, leave in the garage, pick at as you have the money.....excellent.

A daily workhorse that you depend on....well.....when that breaks......:headbang: :BrianK::BrianK::deadhorse::BrianK:

well, looks beastly covered in snow from a distance :sherlock:

Kind of a shame......I do like those OBSs. Just sonething about them. Could do without rust though....I've had my fill of rustbuckets for a while with the 2004 ford I just sent away last month

I agree with ya I am a Chevy guy not buy loyalty I have just been around them since I could walk and can fix them well. Recently we bought a trailblazer and that is challenging my Chevy thought train it’s a complete nightmare to work on.

The rust thing is just life around here but I look hard for good clean vehicles. Our 2001 Silverado is pretty clean and the 05 trailblazer is rust free and low mileage

Rant. My lil one has 7 grandparents. SEVEN. So they want to be called though they avoid getting to know her... No cards or phone calls for most holidays. Thank God for the dear friends from Maine that I made here on fhc. I won't call them out but I'm grateful they sent a card to her as they do every holiday. Saddest part is she thinks our fhc grandparents are my " real" parents. Sorry, obviously not happy about this. Thinking of putting fake cards from me in the mail for her.

What you grow up around does play a big part. I'm a truck person, but when it comes to cars, I've always liked something about Pontiacs, perhaps because we had a few in the family for years while I was growing up. So I'm pretty happy with the 2008 G6 we got last month. For trucks....mostly had ford's in the family, some Chevys and granddad had a red dodge Dakota for years which me and dad used for a while afterwards. Car wise, we had a couple suzukis, which some people call junk but we never hardly had a hitch, despite using the hatchback to haul stuff some people would be afraid to put in a one ton.

But I came to be a Ford person on my own while hardly older than a toddler, while we had the Dodge and the first Suzuki.

Got a few aunts and uncles who are die hard GM..... I've always like ford first, dodge second, GM third, and yota and Nissan I didn't care for years. But they've come a long way these past couple years, and now, if I was looking for a brand new half ton, I'd go ford first, but yota and Nissan before GM or ram.

Hear ya on the rust....we use road salt, some areas more than others, but we also have the salt air, which I wouldn't trade for anything despite it all, but it doesn't help keep trucks clean. It's not hard to keep a rig in good shape if looked after well from new....but if you don't start new and keep it up.....bye bye. The G6 is pretty clean, as is my 02 F-150. I'm also wanting to get something to only use on my own property.....but still working on that one.

First thing I thought of was it's a capacitor. (I hope)

Nice slow, steady rain.....not a bad 10 PM.

I absolutely love the rain when I'm inside......I don't mind being out in it either if it's not too cold.....once I'm soaked I don't give a damm, I'll keep on working.....but there's just something about being cozy in bed or relaxing in the couch with grandmother and listening to it coming down.
