    i got to run saws at daves friday and then cutting firewood with my buddy saturday first time since the pa gtg

    Yep, if the bark hangs on it will get punky. If the bark sheds off, it makes some nice poles. I call it bone wood. You can see a spark or two if you cut late in the day/evening (hard stuff).
