OK guys and gals, it's that time of year again! Let's see your trees and decorations (inside or out)!!

This year I went nuts, building a HUGE raised platform custom fitted to our living room. It was quite an undertaking, gobbling up a lot of my spare time the past two weeks. But it was worth it! The platform is over 24' long, and almost 7' wide at its widest point, with lots and lots of long curves. All of the lumber (except the plywood) was milled from spruce trees we took down the past year!

There is over 125' of vintage 0-scale track on this beast, in three different loops....

Here's pics of the platform, which is in two huge sections that barely fit through the front door.

We have had the pleasure of being host parents to international college students again this fall semester. We invited them to our home to experience decorating for Christmas. They each brought a friend. We had two from Denmark and 2 from Japan. They even showed us how to make some decorations they make back in their respective homes. They had fun.

Very nice trees, both of you!

Kinda like playing the trump card first and who would dare post a pic now, right?

Because of unforeseen circumstances, the Christmas decorations will be few this year here. But the Spirit will be here.

There is one small difference between my tree and Scotty Overkill tree. Mine didn't grow in the dirt and he can recycle his thru his wood burning unit. :tree::stacker::saw:

We have a small room and a small tree, but it is very comfortable with the stove running. I restored it to circa 1910 in here. The mantle is three-sided and original to the house.

Here is a pic of our humble tree. It comes form a storage bin in the basement. It is older than 20 years! If you look pout the window, you'll see that the snow we did have is all gone. This pic was taken on Sun 3rd. Mon the 4th also no snow. Tue 5th, way back to winter schedule with lots and lots of snow!

The guy in the red suit is me, 99 lbs talked me into helping Santa Claus out by visiting 3 area rest homes that week.
