Has anyone served on Fed court jury? I have served on our county courts, but don't know what to expect at the Fed level. Don't want to be sequestered over the holidays.

Yah. Hopefully they ask me my feeling on the death penalty.
Life vs Death. Life sounds like a darn good retirement plan. 3 squares a day, workout room, free medical, no bills and heat without CSS. Death will cost the taxpayer less. That should do it.

"they wouldn't be here if they weren't guilty!"

    Yep, that'll do it:whistle:

You most likely won't get picked. If you do, fall asleep in the jury box.:zip:

Im late on this one. Did they send you a questionnaire to fill out? I got one several years ago and answered all the question with there guilty lets shootem. I have not been sent anymore info on jury duty. Cindy has been hit 3 times in the last 2 years. It dosent pay to properly answer those questions.

I had a driver tell them that he had been a plaintiff, a witness and a defendant and he thought the judicial system sucked.

When my Dad told them he was hard of hearing, they said he had to have a Dr.'s slip. He said " Well I am either hard of hearing or a liar, which would you rather have?"

I never have been on a jury, and probably never will. They don't like those who consider the system more crooked than most defendants.
But if they force me, I'll play :wacky:

If you're unemployed, it isn't a bad deal. If you're employed it sucks.

They should pay what government employees get paid. Then they'll get qualified individuals to be on the jury.

I wouldn't have such animosity if that were the case! Horkn for president! Seriously funny the amount the gov employees get and yet its a ridiculously low amount for us.

I had it a few times. Our local PD is more arrest em first and ask questions later style without much thinking. And yet the drug/theft guys get let out within hours. I usually get 'releases' from jury duty...

I was called for regular jury duty once.
The judge read the charges with the defendant there, he was accused of molestation.
One guy started yelling "boy you're really sick, what kind of a man are you, that's disgusting! "
Fastest way to get out of the jury selection. With a Bali on each arm.
I got out because I had to be in a wedding in a few days

I got called for federal jury duty in NYC about 15 yrs ago. Its not like county duty, theres a pool of about 200+ sheeple sitting in a big room for 8 hrs waiting to get called.
I think I waited 3 days before I got called. I got out of it by telling the judge i had child support to pay and if i was picked i couldnt pay it and i would therefore become a defendant.
If I remember correctly, i gots paid $45 a day (righteous bucks lol)

Last week I sat on a county trial. I made front page for 3 days and was a brutal murder. Wasn't too fun looking at the scene pics and autopsy. I got elected as the foreman and had to serve the guilty verdict on 1st and 3rd degree murder.
I'm sure there are some answers you could give on the questionnaire that would keep you from getting picked.

Yep, had to sit in on a shaken baby trial for a new dad some years back...fortunately he took a plea deal before we settled on a verdict.

I was on jury a few years ago, drug deal but the guy just didn't fit the profile or so it seemed. I had a very hard time feeling like I should be a part of sending this guy up the river. I did finally agree he was guilty but it was hard. After all was said and done and he was convicted they tell us there was a lot of the facts that his attorney somehow got held so we did not know them. So after we found out what those were I knew he was guilty. Our system is very flawed.
