That's really quiet disturbing.. I have Hemlock and oak that I'm losing....

What's up with all these tree diseases increasing? At least it seems to me things are worsening...

You can thank all of the imported foreign wood coming into the great lakes area by boat.

Does anyone have actual experience w/the use
of the treatment for protecting the trees.
I have a green ash that is my main shade tree.
Most of what I have heard is that the treatments are
a 50/50 shot that it will keep from getting infected.
....and one guy told me that there is a 50/50 shot that
    the treatment will kill it.

My Dad had one injected in his yard a few years back and I think he got the same speech 50/50. If I remember it was around $150. In this case it’s worked and is the only ash in the yard or the woods for that matter that is still ok. Sad thing is all the surrounding stuff is toast. Here’s some from the neighbors I took down the other day DA7F6A60-8EDF-4B90-8C68-F828DA621C00.jpeg still solid wood but dead! Look at the bark from the critters going nuts trying to get at the little jerks.

Yep. Imports that wouldn't use certified treated wood. These bastards hitched rides from Asia to the US, and not just in the great lakes.

I use Bayer tree and shrub granules for my yard Ash trees. It appears to be working, and is much less than the injection costs. I get all of my ash trees sign the yard ( 10-12 or so) for about $40.

Now, there's wild ash trees that don't get any treatment, and they are fine. It's cheap insurance imho. There's bad infestations of eab only 15 miles away.

It's been said that the past few winters have eliminated a lot of the bastards. I hope so.

How long have you been using this on your ash trees?
All the reviews I have found sound good.

Over 8 years. We've got EAB traps around and I've never seen any in them. It protects against other stuff too. Like I said, it's cheap insurance.
