And a little sherry before serving.
This batch, I didn't have a ham bone, so I used the chicken stock I did have, and a cup of diced cooked bacon from the freezer. Tastes good!

I may just do what I did last year and drive over the snow to pack it down. As long as we don't get a foot all at once, it works.
It's all gonna' turn to ice in a while anyway, no matter what I do, and then the gravity fightin' dance shall commence.

I used to always push way back at customers houses. With their ok, I'd push way onto the grass. Saved my azz in 2015 when we got 110" in about 3 weeks.

I'm still getting used to this lil plastic plow on the Jeep. Even tho it's lighter, it wants to dig in much more than the heavier steel blades I've used. I discovered all I really had to do is crawl along tho and it did fine. The lawn will really harden up now and should be good. I did "find" 2 new rocks that grew up last year... :headbang:

Mild and clear this morning. We got rain last night but it is beautiful today. Olympic curling trials finals are today for the men and the women. We will see who will go to the Olympics to win the curling gold for Canada. It will be a busy curling season this year. campinspecter is busy putting wood down into the basement and I should be in the sewing room but I got caught surfing FHC this morning. So...... away I go.

I'm pretty sure I completely destroyed the grass along the road in front of my house where I stack my snow. LOTS of dirt in the piles.

Best scraping plow I ever used was a meyer on an old Jeep Cherokee classic. Awesome light storm driveway rig.

    Making headway!

It’s a bit messy still.. I finally figured out what code allows talk about a confusing pita....

Code allows CSST through conduit that is sealed at any point water can get into it. In other words spray foam the ends the gas line comes out of to keep water out. Problem solved.... It also has to be grounded with #6 copper so I will be doing that in a little bit.

still have to anchor everything down but that will wait till it’s all set up and ready just in case I need to move the stand again.

Pete, make sure it's closed cell foam. Open cell will allow water to go right in. I think most " great stuff" or similar is closed cell, but verify what you have our will buy.

My snowblower was catching the bricks on the walk and driveway today. The right skid pad was worn out and the sled part fell off.

I tend to keep all sorts of scrap metal for projects and I had some flat stock pieces from a Laz y boy recliner. The scissor part that extends for the foot rest.

I cut it to length and bent the ends to fit the upright. A quick crappy weld and it is good in my book. My mig is a rocker switch one, so I have a hard time getting the weld right. I can make things stick, but they are not purty.

Latex based is open cell, and polyurethane is closed. From what I recall at least. I think most is closed cell though.

Get the black stuff they market for Koi ponds and water features and stuff...made to be underwater...the regular spray foam doesn't hold up well continuously submerged...
