Awaiting a tracking number on some led Christmas bulbs. Going to swap out my 6 watt C7 window lights for .6 watt C7 units, should be the last bulbs they will ever need. Then all of my Christmas lights will be leds.

The only huge screens Ive seen is at the movies. At about 11.5 feet away my 50" is big, but not really huge-at least in today's standards.

Back in 2009 it was big but 60" would have been better and way more expensive. Today a good OLED 65" is about the same I paid for the 55" Pioneer Kuro in 2009 when they were being closed out at half price due to Pioneer getting out of the Plasma market.

Also at 11.5 feet, the charts say the screen should be 88" for a good mix of normal and movie watching. Talk about :makeitrain"

Overall, the 50" is fine until I have to replace it, but bigger IS better

Bah hamburger on the large screen electricity eater. You really only need a fire tablet.

Plasma is an electricity eater. LED and OLED are not bad. And plasma outs off a ton of heat-good in winter, bad in summer.

HEY, there is the reason I NEED to upgrade

But the picture is STILL as good or better than the current displays if comparing 1080 to 1080. Wish they could have stayed with plasma but too many downfalls in getting it beyond 1080P

    Um, no

OK, you don't need any TV at all. That would save 'tricity and the need to upgrade, nothing on TV anyhow.

This is the latest one I have....love it. And has High Dynamic Range with HDR10 content support, 4K Ultra HD resolution. Got it refurbed from Wally World, $489.00:
Vizio E60u-D3 - 60-Inch 4K Ultra HD SmartCast E-Series TV Home Theater Display

It's my 3rd refurb through Wally World, and all have been in perfect condition, worked flawlessly.

I went 10 rounds yesterday with UPS waiting for something we needed at work for a customer with a down machine at a print shop that runs all weekend
    • Was suppose to arrive Friday
    • Checked tracking Friday morning and it showed that it arrived in Chelmsford MA Thursday night at 11:07
    • Normally it leaves there and gets to Dover NH overnight for delivery
    • Tracking says never left Chelmsford :hair:
    • Call UPS and to see of we can drive there to pick up in Chelmsford which is a hub and only about an hour from our location plus it is actually close to where our customer is so we could make it work for the customer
    • They say it left Chelmsford and we may be able to pick up in Dover after 3PM-that would work for us with some additional doing on our end
    • UPS says not open Saturday for pickups of it arrives too late Friday in Dover
    • Let UPS know if we cannot pick up Friday we need it delivered on Monday as it would deliver earlier than the 3PM opening at Dover for pickups. UPS says OK but we would have to change it back to delivery
    • At 2PM call UPS and they say it wont be ready for pickup until Monday
    • Dammit-doesn't make sense if it left Chelmsford for Dover, but OK we need to change it back to delivery
    • Woman says let me see if we can do that-antennas start going up higher
    • She comes back and says Yes we can change it back but at an additional charge for delivery.
    • That was when I went from being civil but irritated to losing it on this woman which went on for another 3-4 minutes as her responses just kept ramping me up higher until I finally hung up on her. No swearing which was not easy. Their inefficiency and screw ups were being sidetracked with scripted responses and that was just infuriating
    • Called the shipper to have them get involved with UPS to get this to us at no additional charge
I then had my warehouse person go to UPS terminal in Dover (only 10 minutes away) to see if it was there and get it. They tracked it for us using internal tracking and showed it HADNT EVEN ARRIVED IN CHELMSFORD YET. We would be lucky to see it by Tuesday :hair::hair::wacky::wacky::wacky:

With this exchange, it is apparent to me that the online tracking we see is a farce and being used to attempt to placate and lie to the customer. For what reason I dont know

Called the shipper to try and get another shipped out overnight for Monday so we were sure to have it but deadline was missed for shipping :headbang:
We call our customer who luckily isnt operating this weekend. We have a backup plan with another customer for Monday of we really have to in order to help out

I could have used a drink last night........You cant make this chit up

Word on the street is refurbed units are actually better than the regular units. They are looked over by an actual person top to bottom to make sure everything is up to par.

I'll tell you, I can't see any reason to NOT buy one of these. I saved a ton of $$$, and it works perfectly.

Sounds about right, UPS lost out to the USPS and life has sucked big time for all affected. Shippers included.

    NICE !!

If I change, I would only get OLED as my old plasma still outperforms today's 4K LED and I am not willing to sacrifice pic quality for larger screen. OLED is still too expensive to make a change without having to due to breaking of old tv

A base ball from 15 feet can solve that problem really fast.

Eventually they will be able to make the oled panels using a printing process similar to inkjet. Then the price should really come down.
