We use the little stretchy gloves with my son, available at Walmart. Not leather, but they fit, he wears em and so far no slivers on our outdoor adventures. Stuff sticks to them like grass and leaves, but I think he gets a heads up when a stick pokes through and he pulls back so it doesn't get him.
View attachment 145490 we had a difficult time finding gloves for our 3yo. These are still a bit big but they look similar to the ones I use so he is happy to have them on. Kinco is the brand. My son also used to say “it’s heavy”. Enjoy these times it goes way too fast.
The kid is fine without gloves, makes her tougher than you sissies My daughter (now 8) has always been a great helper, almost to the point of helping now (as opposed to slowing me down.) My son (4) - not so much; I am hoping to fix him. Yours is a little young, but I tried something similar to this with my girl at the age of 4 and she loved it. She has now graduated to hatchet alone while supervised. My son will start this year. For my girl, she loves splitting wood and asks to do it often.
That your son there? I’ll be seeing how the gloves work and hopefully she will wear them from time to time. Lots of wood to be brought up to the house.
Thanks Warner, I found just that label at Amazon but they are the leather edition. Her hands are small but shes ever growing. Sheesh.
Thank you, she’s got me on my toes every day. I keep remembering to take pics, now that it’s something simple I can. While most of my childhood was using those disposable cameras, you had to wait for the picture. Now I’m just glad we can take it and send it all out instead of waiting on family to see them all.
Well, that started my day off right! Very well done. Looks like that young man is a off to a good start.
Technology has added a whole new dimension to capturing the memories of our loved ones growing up. Easy and very inexpensive.
I think I have posted this pic before but here is my helper. As you can see the gloves don’t fit too good but he is getting used to having them on.
I remember that one! Yeah for what it’s worth I want her to just have some for now and they’ll be fine and soon really fit well.
Adorable. Cherish the moments. When the grandsons come around, they are a great help. We have one great-grandson that is 15 months now. Can't wait until next summer and put a pair of gloves on him. Right now, my constant helper is my Black Lab. Helper, I don't think so. She will grab a split and tote it to the yard. Now if I could teach her to drag it to the stack she would be a great helper.
