The roads are greasy around here, even though there's been a few days that could be rideable. But the road surfaces are freezing overnight, then thawing, making them slimy in the am and the evening, right at commute time.

To add to that, the roads have been treated with the liquid de icer that stays for weeks. That stuff is nasty slippery.

I rode my bike last Friday. After Thanksgiving. That's way late into the season for a northern climate.

Oh that's way too much forced celebration! Kinda makes you sick of a holiday that hasn't happened yet, too!

Yes, that is Mount Wachusett. a very nice small mountain in north central Massachusetts. I have a seasons pass there each year and learned how to ski here in 1962. They can put a foot of snow on the entire mountain in a couple days of cold weather.

Yes, we're almost there too with the roads. They salted many a week ago, but then we got a lot of rain and washed it all away. Are you near Chicago? I was at the HD Museum in October and in 2015 brought my bike out to Little Chute Wisconsin for an engine build at Fuel Moto USA.

it absolutely does. Thankfully, two of them will be in the first week and a half of January, so I only need to really do one more before Christmas, and that will be the one with the service group that I used to work in. Though, the two in January are almost back to back, and will require hotel stays

Hotel stays imply long drives or air travel... Are they at least somewhere fun, or some industrial wasteland in NJ?

Just above freezing and I think if it starts to rain on our walk it could be white stuff.

Last day of work this week and three more weeks to Winter Break. Can't call it Christmas Break anymore. It means I will have to get Christmas present thinking into high gear. Yikes!

Good morning, sunny and cool., been seeing low 50's for a high.
Been making far'wood all week as the Bore Beetles are into the Ash trees around here.
Not hitting it too hard as the muscle groups for fishing all summer are definitely much more different than the far'woodin' muscles!!
My old pal, Hippy Bob, has a little ADCO tractor that takes some of the lifting outta' the equation but splitting the take with him and helping him get his s/s is some extra work for me.
Not a complaint,,I'm glad to help the ol' guy. I've laid up 3 truckloads this week for my shed and 2 for the Hippy Bob.
    Peace.

Portland Me waterfront, and Boston North End.

North end I could go home, but everyone will be staying I'm sure.

No, it's just us and our customers. No spouses on these ones.
