A snow plow driver got into a very minor accident (bump) at a stop sign a few years back..Turns out, mandatory BA testing and sure enough, he was still affected from the night before. End of employment.

Today was another circus at work. More work getting piled on. Probably even more to come.

Trying to get a couple new engineers working for me, but sounds like that ain't gonna happen.

Old boss now at a new company came knocking on my door. Talk to him next week about maybe doing something new.

Getting an early start for my drive today.

I have been seeing more snow owls along the roads, but there aren't pics so I guess I could have told you just about anything!

Bringing the camera along today, not for the owls, just for anything!

    Everyone have a good morning!

Frosty with stars showing this morning. Definitely going for a walk. Two more days of crazy work and then the weekend. Again where did November go? Next thing I will know it be next year. Yikes!!

I didn't pay too much attention to what it was. We were too engaged in what happened to it. If I was telling the story I'd say it was oak. But since you ask I have to think about it.
The butt of the upper 2/3 is about 8' away and that part is point away from what's left of it standing
I'll look harder next time I'm back there

The bark reminded me of a cottonwood that my neighbor and I cut up a few weeks ago. He thought it was oak. The bark on your tree looks similar.

I wouldn't know a cotton wood if it fell on me. There were still leaves on the upper part so I should be able to include or eliminate that as an option. If I'm lucky, I'll learn what a cotton wood is!

I started doing my research and looked up Cotton Wood Exploding and found this right off the bat. Not sure if it adds any value to my search yet but I'll keep it in the library

You can go shopping in the woods, for trees or freezer fillings. ;)
