My 4th grade math skills put the per ton price at $340. That’s more expensive than Vermont softies down here.

I think I paid $275/ton for Hamers this year.

OK gotta confess,my "spare" freezer I bought, not long after moving here(montana),it is an old 7 ft chest, that compressor died, the shop owner put in a full size freezer compressor.Used it for years.Got newer one, energy efficient.Kept this one,to make lager in(never did, still have the thermostat conversion). When checking house with wattmeter,a few years ago,was amazed at the power it took to run this old one!.But,you could plug it in,warm, and freeze ice in 2 hours, lol. So,I will have to use it,for a month or two, untill I clean out old one,and recycle the meats and bread, lol. The old guy died, that converted this old freezer,as I stopped at his old place,to thank him, about 3 years ago,his family now only sells china junk,no repairs.

Just ordered a couple tons from Pellet Warehouse in Jay Me. Getting the MWP mixed wood. $458 delivered right into my garage. Can't ask for better. I hadn't bought pellets since that last time the pellets went on sale due the glut on the market. I got them then at $100/ton. Down to the last dozen bags. Everyone of them burned good in my p68.. I am so glad I changed out my stove to the P68. Now I can focus on comfort instead of cleaning.

I was offered the soft wood version of the MWP. I have burned them before. However, with the P68 I cannot honestly say I noticed any measurable difference. I set my stove on Stat and let it go. If I run it on constant burn, that is when I notice it gets dirty fast. The stat seem to have the stove run really for short bursts. That keeps the stove much cleaner. I just opened the stove and scraped out the burn pot and cleaned the glass after a month of burning. Couldn't go three days without a vacuuming and cleaning with the other stove. (no stat)

Sooo, this past weekend we stop into Crate and Barrell Outlet in Kittery as my honey was looking for a cheap curtain or something to use to replace a broken sliding closet door in a kids bedroom.

First off, cheap aint this place.

Second, I laughed my arse off at the fact that they are selling ACORNS in MAINE at 10 bucks for about a handfull. Laughing out loud, I told a girl working there that I had a fortune in my yard and would cut her a deal while my honey was walking away from me real quick

They also had these cedar "planks" at 20 bucks for 3 that were about 10" each. Again, I have a chainsaw and can make these from many species.

Yea, but, how many bugs were made homeless or killed making those things?

I'll go back to hiding now.
