Honestly not trying to be blasphemous, and know, I don't work for the company but, just like a lot of the other stuff we post about here, you love stuff that works. I struggled with whatever Christmas tree stand I had to work with for most of my adult life. I think at one point I had one of the tilting kind (like a ball in a ratchet mechanism). That wasn't too bad. But, last year I decided to pull the trigger and get what looked to me like the last Christmas tree stand I would ever need to buy. Now, whether it's because of my German roots and it's made in Bavaria or the reviews I read, this is what I went with. Yes, it's expensive, so is your time and energy, as you know. All I can say is that this thing does NOT disappoint. Drop the tree in. Get it vertical and start cranking with your foot...rock solid, doesn't move or tip, and it was a water level indicator. Very happy with this guy. Anyway, wondering if anyone else has one or to recommend it to those who might be thinking about stepping up from whatever they have.

What works even better is not getting a tree at all.

Oh come on, laying on your stomach twisting the knobs to tighten the tree into the stand, then resetting it 3-4 more times until it's straight is part of the fun, isn't it?

LOL! Nope. Neither is coming downstairs to find the whole thing toppled over with broken glass and water everywhere.

I've had to wire a tree to the walls because of a crazy cat. Same cat that would follow me into the woods but I'd never see it on the ground, it would always be up in a tree looking down at me. Wish the dog hung around instead of running around in circles like a nut.
