My son and 2 grandsons helped me yesterday and I got a lot done. I have a 12x20 aluminum awning I'm installing next to my garage and had it set in place just set on posts on garage side and on the ground on the other side. We had very heavy wind last Saturday and the awning was blown off and flipped over. We got it back in position. This is going to be my wood storage for wood being burnt the current year. I had a truck load of split oak in my woodhauler and got it stacked and organized the wood piles. Then went to my honey hole next door and got a load of 14-18" rounds of ash and red oak, plan is to s&s today.
Another good day, great weather and got the ash and red oak split and the ash stacked. Loaded a half load and delivered it to my son. Got 2 brush piles burned. Supposed to be 60 tomorrow I plan to hook my trailer to my tractor and haul 19/20 wood from the honey hole next door.
I ran out of daylight, I'll get some pics up tomorrow. I did get 1 load of walnut hauled up to the shed but its still in the homemade trailer. I go pretty slow by myself ( a lot of breaks) but I did a little bush hogging and scraped the almost 1/4 mile drive before I hooked on to the trailer.
I had to take a day off yesterday to take care of some business. I'm going to put in a few hours today. Here's a couple pictures of my walnut load and a pic of my hen house that I'm turning in to a wood shed.
Looking good there. Love the photo with that old tractor's wheel and fender ahead of the cart. I'll be burning my first black walnut this year. Big top from a yard tree that grew straight enough to fetch a few dollars from the mill. Three heavy truck loads, so maybe a cord and a half I think. I load high and tight, and make the most of my extra leafs.
