We had some great weather here today. It got up to about 55 and there was a nice breeze, perfect for getting some last minute yard work and gutter cleaning done.

Real nice day with almost no wind. Banged out some leaves and cleaned the gutters. Changed the sn*wblower oil, Spark plug and tinkered with the drive. Last season it was like getting stuck, I'd have to back it up and go again. Turns out a critter built a nest in the underbelly. Had all kinds of chit(fur/feathers/acorns/yada yada) caught up on the chain/gears. Cleaned it all out, Lubed up the chain/gears. Hit all the grease fittings. She fired up 2nd pull. Took it for a tool around the yaad......... Seems good to go!!

Gonna slack tomorrow. Only detail is meet the new plow guy and show him the ropes.

Likely got one more round of leaf's to do as long as the white chit doesn't fly or we get a freeze. Dang oak tree is still got about all of them still left on it!!

Definitely the chute and hood. It really helped the blade to on my old, beat up, rusty snowblower too even if it didn't last long. I would let it thaw and dry out in the garage then bring it into the basement to spray down again every month or so. I don't think I'll need to spray the blade for my new snowblower since it has fresh paint, but will still do the chute.

Was going to get a couple of things done today then go for a ride since it was supposed to be in the 50's. BUT, like yesterday, other's needs trumped my plans. Got a text from a HOG member asking for help cleaning out a storage unit. It belongs to a member who's SO passed away (he was near 80 and she is near 75). He didn't figure she could possibly have much in storage, but when he saw it crammed full of stuff decided he needed help. So, I went to Concord and unloaded his Explorer and 8' trailer, then went back to the unit. Filled his truck and trailer again, plus my truck was completely full (I used to load liquor trucks for a living - I know how to cram som chit in there). Got him unloaded and he went back to grab the last couple of large, but light, items. I unloaded my truck.

Yeah, resting my shoulder is going real well; what with moving about 2 tons of pellets yesterday to rescue the cat and today moving furniture, large boxes of books, boxes of antique irons and shoe forms (made of cast iron), glassware and dishes etc.

Hey, at least I was in Concord so stopped at Wally World and shopped for the disadvantaged kid I took on for a charity (HOG chapter took on 19 kids). Traffic was fairly light, for a weekend and WW wasn't even crowded. Most people were in a good mood too.

Spray silicon or Snow Jet (polymer based). I've used both and don't really favor one or the other. I currently have the Snow Jet stuff.

Just make sure you don't get the stuff with the flower already in it (for cakes). Actually, I will never again use cooking spray as it gets sticky, and I don't buy it anymore anyway.

I went to Lowes today to pick up a couple of things. I was walking down an isle and noticed a bunch of 12 gal shop vacs but didn't think much of it until the sign caught my eye as I was going by. $39.99, originally $99.99. 6 HP, stainless tank, drain valve for wet vac operation. I had been toying with the idea a buying a new 6 gal. vac, so I went and looked at them. $39.99. So I now have my first Christmas gift.

Oh yeah, I didn't even bother looking at their pellets.

Busy productive day today, started the day by loading half a ton of Northern Max to take down to Woooster to my brother and see my nephew who is in town from training as he is nearly a Green Beret , Special Ops at that .Then gave into my softie Jones and grabbed a ton of Cornith 100% softwood(like i need more pellets argh) from the now even closer local dealer I used last year, he is literally 2 minutes from my house now (yes dangerous) but convenient and loaded them into the basement. After that I cut a piece of Luan that the wife had painted with chalkboard paint I am making a chalkboard from a mirror frame they scarfed. Then I went to town on the infamous spalted maple boomerang table that my buddy gave me a piece he found in the woods, all I have left is to final sand as I mounted the legs(doweled, glued and screwed , sanded everything did a little more patching and all I have to do tomorrow is final sand and wax her up . Unique piece for sure very down to earth but I like it and was looking around and it seems they get Crazy money for Spalted maple furniture. Syched as I cant wait to wax her up and bring out the glory of spalted Maple. oh yeah almost forgot gave the Harman on OCD cleaning !

Pics tomorrow after I get her finished

I learned to hate the Oaks....my previous property was almost 100% oaks.

As for the weather, looks like we're good to go for a while:
