Anchoring it to the floor with concrete anchors :D also putting gussets in the corners. She gonna be solid!!! I haven’t got that far I’m waiting to finish most the main build the cut the gussets out of scrap.

My big concern is strength. I was a wood worker by trade for years so I got a little carried away on the joints. I really miss it sometimes:( the smell brings back many memories.

I have a nice woodshop at home but it pales in comparison to what I used to have access too.

    Listen to me babbling on:picard:

Good plan. Got something in mind for a heat shield?
Wood can make a great structure to hold all manner of things, true....depending on this “furnace” I might rather see you construct something out of steel?
Either way, start a thread if ya got time to keep us updated?

Yup I have cement board but the furnace doesn’t get hot on the bottom. Flames worry me so the cement board is going under it to separate the wood from the flame.

It’s elevated partially because fumes settle so less risk of igniting the garage if there’s any fumes.... I’ll be poof Pete if that happens..:hair:

It’s a newer style furnace pretty compact with the blower on bottom. It doesn’t get flames below because it’s in a separate chamber but you can’t be too cautious..

    The thread might happen maybe.

I have angle iron maybe I’ll use that for gussets hmmmm....

May I suggest "accidentally" dropping your phone, followed by running it over with the truck, then shooting it with shotgun just for good measure?

You may be on call, but you can't hear the phone ring:)

    That would be EPIC!:dex::dex:

Imagine the lack of trees and how pickups would be everywhere! It be like a gtg everyday chainsaws screaming and neighbors cheering and then the pellet guys would show up with 10 tons of pellets!

Now that it’s stated FHC communities would probably get lots of noise violations and have to build a wall.

Hmm kinda sounds cultish :rofl:

And I was super frustrated when my thumb was numb for 2.5 months - along with a constantly tingling arm and hand. After 2x / week chiro and massage therapist visits for 6 weeks, I'm much better.

BUT, I can't imagine being in pain for years and then going numb on an entire side for 9 months even if it isn't constant. I hope the injections help out!

I can always take the tough case off it! I my line of work that phone would last 10 seconds before getting burned, stepped on, dropped from 100 ft up or crushed under a 10 ton rotary drive wheel:rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

It was time to do a bunch of laundry over the weekend. My wife went to get started on it Saturday and the washer stopped working on the first of 6-7 loads.

Soooo today I am waiting for the repair man to get here. Hopefully he can get it fixed and running soon. Taking the clothes up to the parents house is NOT gooder .

Later this afternoon, when warmest today, it will be time to put up the plastic panels to enclose the covered porch.

Try to ask some questions, it's so easy to go blank and just nod, when presented with a lot of information.
