They are an open port, but I'm sure you can finger it out lol. Compression is already there, some guys have been seeing 200psi, stock.
Ok cool. If you can do machine work on them then there's hope for them. I need on to check out. Any one want one modded for research?
I have a 45cc I could send you. Or a 38. Or a 41. The 52cc is my Chinese completion saw so I guess I gotta do that one but it's built the same way. I actually really like my 41cc for zipping off limbs under 3". Light and handles great.
I have a 38cc new in box I could send you. You won't compete with the 45 guys but thinking g there were going to be several classes. Say the word and I will ship one to ya.
I don't know of anyone who is bringing less than 45cc. I have a half of a 45cc. If I can buy a tank, I would ship you this one.
I need to send you some chain anyway, would save me a couple bucks on shipping. Can toss in some vinyl decals too for your shop or truck or whatever. Just let me know buddy and Ill have it out. *This is the G450 copy. 45cc one, can send you one with the muffler already welded and ready to go. The mufflers on these need to be split apart, and a emptied and welded back together, imo anyway. They are so unbelievably restrictive, I cant even imagine the gains I got from just doing that much.
Thanks for the offers guys. I guess a 45 cc version would be best since that's what most are building right?
Yep..... 45 cc and up. There is one 62 cc, one 58 cc, and one 52 cc. All the rest are 45 cc. That we know of anyways..
Honestly, I don't know if mine is a fluke... but it is very impressive. I think you might buy one or two for yourself when you run one.
Tell ya what Mike, I will try to shoot a vid of mine today. You can see what you think. If you decide you want me to send you mine down, I can give you port time #'s and see if you want to move the jug around at all. I still have my lathe here in the shop, haven't used it since I did that Sears 3.3 saw.
Mike, I did one and just widening the intake and exhaust and throwing out the base gasket gets you a saw that will out run an 025. No transfer work, didn't touch the piston, squish was .044" even after the gasket delete. Muffler was an empty can with a second port added that was identical to the stock port, right down to the screen.
That would be great. Looking at it I think I know what would help it run better by the pictures of the jug but would have to see one in my hands to see if it could be done. I'm sure it could use some more compression and get the squish down to .016-.020".
Wasn't able to get a video yesterday. Battery in my camcorder died + I ran out of gas. Not good. Thought I had a gas can at my dads but, was mistaken. I'll be sure to get one next time. Hopefully this Tuesday.
